Made clock from spare Datsun part

I had this extra air cleaner housing laying around and was never gonna use it. Looking at it one day I had vision and thought it might be cool to make something out of it instead of scrapping it. So I thought it would make a sweet clock? I think it's starting to look good, but I did not like sticker on outside. What do you think?

I bought the clock from Wal Mart for $20 It fits perfect if you cut where I did.

I thought of something similar, but I was going to mount the clock movement directly to the center of the cover so the air cleaner was the clock and not just a frame. You did a great job, looks great.

I thought about that to , went to local craft store but all the do it yourself clock kits the shaft was too short to do that.

Hmmm did you think of taking the movement out of another wall clock?- maybe something with stainless arms and numbers. Let me search some Target/Walmart items.

You should take the front cover off the clock, black out the white center and put the sticker inside. That would make it perfect.

I am planning on putting another sticker under the glass on the face of clock. I did search around at all the local stores before I went with the neon clock. I also though about cutting center of air cleaner smaller and putting under clock arms but I ran into the short shaft problem.

Got impatient waiting for another ratsun sticker. This sticker looks OK , but now thinking of removing clock face and making something custom. Looks good all lit up

You could make one in PS easily... would probably take 20min worth of work.
