Morrisun
Grant Steering Wheels adapter kit/hub #4590 fits Datsun 1200, 71-73 For mounting steering wheels with 5 holes around the center or? Some of the larger parts stores carry Grant wheels. And B210's 74-78. Quote Link to comment
CGS1948
Yes,the 1974-78 B-210 had the the same size shaft and spline as the 1200, and had a couple of decent steering wheels available. They bolt right on. Quote Link to comment
Morrisun
Here's an example of B210 GX wheel with same spline. Quote Link to comment
graveltrapp
Love that wheel. Thanks for the info. Somehow I ended up with a Nissan Pulsar hub. Not even close. Quote Link to comment
ggzilla
You are on the wrong site to get the goods on 1200 steering wheels. See http://datsun1200.com/modules/mediawiki/index.php?title=Steering_wheel It has everything discussed above and more Quote Link to comment
CGS1948
We are aware of the Datsun 1200 site and just wanted to answer the actual question on Ratsun, keeping it simple. Quote Link to comment

Morrisun
This is a Grant steering wheel with 5 bolt hub mounting, they make 6 and 8 hole as well. This one is 13" and was picked-up at a swap meet for $20.00 Grant makes this style in many diameters and Grant puts their name on the wheels. Grant adapters are the easiest to find for early Datsuns. RedBanner
Here's an example of B210 GX wheel with same spline. that is a clean one  Proper installation is key with grant hubs, I've had one stripp out with big tires , added castor, and small steering wheel while cruisin thru a parking lot. It sucked. Quote Link to comment
datsunfreak
Proper installation is key with grant hubs, I've had one stripp out Heard the same thing about the BOSS adapters on ebay? Two guys I know with big tires say they both stripped a BOSS hub while driving hard. Scary stuff... Quote Link to comment
ggzilla
Proper installation probably means using a torque wrench on the nut. You dont want it too tight. Quote Link to comment
graveltrapp
They all seem pretty crappy as far as the Metallurgical world is concerned. Zilla thanks for the heads up on the thread. And yes that is a scarey thought. I did have one come loose on another car recently and put some blue loctite on it. So far so good. Quote Link to comment

datsunfreak
Tried two different 4590 hubs and both are to big? any ideas??? 72 1200 sedan Something is wacky. #4590 should be the 1200/B210 kit? The kit that is bigger that fits everything else is #3592. Quote Link to comment
ggzilla
Grant steering wheel installation kit No. 470-4590 fits: * 1977-79 SX200 * 1976-1978 F10 * 1979-82 310 * 1974-78 B210 * 1971-73 1200 This means it fits the column splines. The other end of the hub fits Grant and APC wheels. http://www.summitracing.com/parts/grt-4590/applications Quote Link to comment
graveltrapp
That is what I have, I have bought two, and both are to big. Splines slide all the way over and do not make contact? I will bring them over Monday if we are still on. Quote Link to comment
ggzilla
sure bring it over Quote Link to comment
edp
I had the same problem with the 4590 adapters, one I tried to modify - didn't work - tried a new one , it had the same poor fit & I sent them back to Jegs for a refund. Nice wheel, i was bummed but when it slipped on the steer shaft thats unnerving & I reinstalled the stock wheel. I have a 4590 kit if anyone wants one cheap. Quote Link to comment
