Hi guys

Here is a bit of background on the truck it is a 1 owner truck, that my dad bought brand new from the show room floor in 1983 and is still with us. he used it for may years as a work truck, but due to some problems the truck sat in in our driveway for about 10 years, just rolling from side to side. Around 08-09 I started taking some auto classes at school, and instead selling the truck to buy a project car I decided to work on the truck. Since then i have been working on the truck slowly but surely.

ill be posting some pics from when I started working on the truck to how is is know.

I don't think i will ever be done with this truck I always find something new I want to do/try.

The first day after dusting it off, and clearing lots of spider webs.

After a few failed attempts to try to get to turn-over, I found that the carb was not getting fuel, after replacing the fuel pump and rebuilding the carb she started. Smoking everywhere after a few min. it was running.

The truck ran good till about mid 2011. while driving from work back home the truck started shacking bad and shut off. once again the truck stat, after saving up for a few months I decided it was time for a full rebuild. I started around December 2011 and got the truck up and running late January.

Your stock ST steering wheel, is it black..?

Yes it was, but it was missing most of the leather.

Hey when you ordered your knob from Mooneyes what was the thread size and pitch?

It was one of those universal ones that have a cap for the threads and 3 set screws to hold it on. Oh yeah Im using a 280z shift lever

I think most of the 510's, 240z, 260z, 280z are 8mm x 1.25. and most of the trucks are 10mm x 1.25

Thats a pretty sick build man. i like it!!

thanks

I admire your work. Wish I could do that but we only have two cars and both my parents need one so there using my truck. :(

Also, thanks for getting rid of that big 'ol side view mirror, not a big fan at all of those. Keep going!

Oh yeah, I'm guessing those tires are 75's. When you get the chance put some 60' or a 55. That would look sick, especially with how much you lowered. Did you use drop spindles or turn the torsion bars?

cool thanks. yeah I have 205/75 in the rear and 185/75 in the front. now its both drop spindles and turn torsion bars.
