flatcat19
No stress. Glad we could meet up and help each other out! Now get to work! Someone find this man a 240SX engine harness! Quote Link to comment
Hermistonkilla
Started with this valves look alright. Was told engine had 30,000 miles just a mock up since I need the gaskets. Does any one have some close up pictures of they're install?? Looking to see which hose goes to which home!! Also 2 before the last one show some things I don't know where they go either. One looks like a cut metal line of you can see it. Please help!! Lol :-) Quote Link to comment
flatcat19
My co-workers were floored you already had these pics up. Even considering we already had that L18 torn down to nothing. Keep 'em coming! Quote Link to comment
datsunfreak
Side note... Look for an S13 or S14 intake manifold and a matching wiring harness to ease your pain.Easier install, as far as the wiring is concerned, and MPFI. FWIW, the truck is also MPFI. Is that throttle body injection?? Common misconception. It's not TBI, it's MPFI. For the most part it works just like the 240SX stuff. If you look closely at the pics (or a Frontier) you can see there are 4 injectors up against the head, and the throttle body is just a throttle body (air valve, no fuel). TBI would not have injectors up against the head, but mounted inside the throttle body. I believe the air flow meter functions a little differently (not inline like the 240SX), but everything else is basically the same. 240SX parts are way sexier though. Hermistonkilla
I was also very cold..........unlike when flatcat tears down motors! Quote Link to comment
flatcat19
I was also very cold..........unlike when flatcat tears down motors! Me and the shop foreman had it on the stand by the second time you had shown up. What? 5 minutes. Within an hour, we had it torn down, bolts bagged and labeled, and everything else laid out for a quick clean, paint, and re-ring. Fresh freeze plugs ordered. Pontiac Catalina Blue bought. Head sent off to machine shop for a once-over. Now where the hell on Earth did I put my Datsun? Quote Link to comment
Hermistonkilla
It was so warm and nice in the shop! My truck sits outside.... Very cold Quote Link to comment

Hermistonkilla
Flatcat! Think your guy could track down a harness for a reasonable price?? I'm finding guys in Portland that want like 180! Is that to high? Seems like it to me since I used to be into Hondas...............don't hate! Quote Link to comment
flatcat19
Not unreasonable for a complete harness. Try looking for a 240sx in a Pick N Pull. May only run $50-100 that way. eBay shows them listing in the $150 range. Maybe make a WTB post here on Ratsun and see what comes up. I will keep my eyes up though. Quote Link to comment
]2eDeYe
Yep post up a wanted ad here. I get quite a few parts I have a hard time finding that way. Quote Link to comment
Laecaon
240sx in picknpull. LOLS. a 240 is stripped cleaner than your dog can strip a T-bone, on the first day its there. Quote Link to comment

I'm sure of that there. That stuff doesn't happen around here. BUT-around here maybe 3 out of 30 in a 60 mile range are PNP. All the others you have to lay your trust in their pullers. I've met most of them. No trust given. Quote Link to comment
Hermistonkilla
The one out by the fairgrounds is shady!! They use the language "barrier" to they're advantage. Pulled a fender.... No bolts or moldings when they brought in to me. Quote Link to comment

Hermistonkilla
Found a harness for an auto tranny. Is that hard to get around? I thought the tranny harness was separate. Quote Link to comment
