79datsun620
are you guys modifing the hub or the wheel to fit the titan wheel on a 620? Quote Link to comment
CharlieBucket
i did the wheel. had a machine shop bore out {for behind on the alloys} the hub from 3 inches to 4 inches. it only need to go 5/8 deep i think. not very deep at least. the machine shop tried to bore mine all the way though on the first one. but i yelled at them and they had to make a plate to fix it. but then they got me back by ripping me off. talk to a a few machine shops and be sure to set a price. like 30 bucks a wheel or something. or you can do it with a router. check youtube and there is a video explaining. ]2eDeYe
I used a brake lathe to machined the hub, now I can run whatever wheels I want :D Quote Link to comment

79datsun620
How Many Bits Did You Go Through And How Long Did That Take? Quote Link to comment
Pacific coast Datsun
If you get the rims bored like Charlie said only go in 5/8. Youll still want to be able to attach the center cap. You can also bore the rims yourself with a router. Theres a DIY video on youtube that shows you how to do it... Quote Link to comment
]2eDeYe
How Many Bits Did You Go Through And How Long Did That Take? Used one bit, took about 30 minutes or so. The hubs are pretty soft compared to brakes so it went pretty easy. Quote Link to comment
Bleach
I cut out the wheels. Put them on my Frontier. Quote Link to comment

polini
Go On You Tube And Click The How Tos They Will Show You The Bit You Need And Even Show You How Fast It Is To Do It. The Machine Shops Down Here Charge About $150 Per Rim. I Did Mine On My 2000 Frontier. Sold That To Go Back To The Old School. Quote Link to comment
]2eDeYe
$150 a rim...Damn.. I only had to do 2 hubs and it was basically free  Quote Link to comment
Bleach
I had a router with 1/4 inch shank and it was hard to find the right bit to fit. Found it at routerbits.com for around $30. Worked perfect. I also will bore alloy wheels for $50 per wheel. :) Quote Link to comment

79datsun620
you have any plans for the fairlady? Quote Link to comment
Bleach
Speaking of Titan wheels... why yes I do have plans for the Fairlady. I'm in the process of tearing it down to the body right now. (leaving the interrior in for now) I'm going to have a shop do the bodywork, some welding, and paint for me. color will be the original Datsun orange. Then re-gasket and paint the stock L20 engine. Throw some 16x8 Sportmax wheels on it, put some lowering springs in it and then its about done. The wheels are new but have a classic look to them. Lowering it a little will be the only modifications from stock. Quote Link to comment
