Willdatsun
Wondered about what engines people have managed to put into 620s, I'm thinking of doing something with one at some point. I have put VG30s into a couple of large easy vehicles but whats it like putting one in a 620? NA or TUrbo? Would a pathfinder plenum have to be used for example? CUstom extractors? Custom built sump? Wiring and plumbing I am OK with. THanks! Quote Link to comment
Digi7al Trauma
A Lamborghini v12 it technically possible.... just depends on your skills and how much you want to spend. But from what i remember the pathfinder plenum, i thing the pathfinder oilpan works with just bumping it in a bit... i remember the mounts were completely custom. I remember it was really tight, and it was only a n/a block... the headers were the most modified pieces of the install... I honestly cannot tell you from experience... i will try and find the thread and post it here 2 Quote Link to comment

]2eDeYe
That was Yello620 at Canby. Was a lot of work and research from what I recall. Build thread: http://community.ratsun.net/topic/15744-620-vg-conversion/page__hl__%20yello620%20%20vg30 :) 1 Quote Link to comment
ggzilla
Most guys do not carefully select the best sump from among all the ones available. Probably there is a combo that fits relatively easy in a 620, but who knows? The engine bay is the right size. Quote Link to comment
Z chopper
figure if a vg30 will fit into a 521, a 620 should be much easier Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
The lack of strut towers on a 620 is offset by torsion bars and one piece steering column. Do-able and there is a frame and more ground clearance for the pan and the rear end will easily handle it. Quote Link to comment
thorpie
I sure is possible. I used a vg30e from a 1984 300zx z31. I used a front sump from a nissan maxima and had to modify the starter motor. http://datsunminitruckin.com/vg30e-build-with-5-speed_topic2126.html Quote Link to comment
