Still gotta hide my junction boxes and blower motor though. that would be pretty interesting though, Id love to see it done.

 

Will have a lot these next few days! Im bringing the car home hopefully tomorrow so Im gonna be dropping in the motor, dialing in my springs and height, more paint, blah blah blah! :w00t:

Went and picked up my car today.

And I took out my old exhaust that sounded like a rainstick because all this poured out of it... even looked like some pieces of ring were in it. :sick:

I also put in my 740 door seals but I forgot to take pictures, I will tomorrow.

Still in a funk from last night. Haven't really gotten much done today, except the electric fuel pump isnt working so im relying on just the mechanical one and im unsure if thats even working. also its not getting spark, its getting 12v up to the coil but for some reason I cant for the life of me remember how to work on a car today and so im a bit lost on what i need to do further. I have a hunch it has something to do with the distributor since it sat for years without a cap on it, but im not sure. and now I feel like im nonsensically rambling. :geek: :poke:

They do belong, and volvos are very plentiful too! the rx7 seal is a bit weird, its meant for a taller metal lip than the z has so im hoping it keeps the water out. it meets up pretty well on the top and sides (which is where it really counts) but the bottom doesnt really touch the seal. not my most preferred seal but I was just copying the crazy octopus build thread on hybrid z.

 

Dont be too jealous, still has a couple holes and it looks like someone went rock crawling with this thing before i owned it. :rofl:

well, we'll see how much rain water got in next time I'm over there.

 

Its a cool thread minus the new motor he chose. not my preference, but its ok, its not my car, lol.

 

yea im lucky it sat like a truck before too because its already pretty bad..

So unfortunately there is little puddles of water all over in my car, I dont know where its coming from. I know its been raining a ton lately, but I still want my car to be sealed. Maybe its just condensation? :confused:

 

Also watched this video and got super inspired. I want 4 cylinder in my car now. :geek:

Ive got an idea of what I want although its not an sr20det...

Remember my to do list? Im gonna revise that real quick. (yes my thanksgiving is boring, lol)

 

-fuel pump + get spark = running!

-fix clutch hydraulics

-adjust doors/ install rear latch

-get fuel cell/ trunk mount battery/ 4pt harnesses

-make floor panel/ paint rear interior

-make door panels/ wire switches

-find seats

-assemble interior

-fix rust/ rebox frame and re sheet metal/ paint engine bay

-Make front and rear strut tower bars

-weld diff

-fix brakes/ 4runner calipers/ zx vented rotors/ steel braided lines/ zx master cylinder

 

ROAD WORTHY!

-poly bushings

-paint exterior

-mr2 front shocks = more low?

-Drift! and ???

Cleaned up my blower motor and vent boxes, they were pretty rusty (I finished the blower box before I took pictures, It was about 3 times worse than the vent box).

Also picked up some poly bushings, custom knuckles for honda coilovers, Z31 front calipers, adjustable FLCA's with new balljoints, stock swaybar, stock tension rods, stock RLCA's, and a 3.7(?) diff.
