Not too many swap kits unfortunately ...

If you can measure ... build jigs ... have common sense ... and weld ... you can put just about whatever the heck you want in there.

This shoould get you started

.

If you cut out everything you need to cut, in-order to fit the 2 foot wider rear suspension,, you will no longer have a 510 ... <_<

there is nothing holding these cars together except the floors, and a few sheet metal braces.. ... cut that out,,, and you could fold the car in half with your hands

I know somebody running just shy of 400whp with a bone stock set of axles, he hasn't even had any problems with U-joints.

I'm dying to know what "against some power" means. Not a SBC... tell me it's not a SBC!

You can run the stock rear suspension without any problems. People have been doing it for 40 years including pure-bred race vehicles. R180 and R200 differentials are easily obtained, but take a bit of work. If you've caged and reinforced everything yourself I'm sure modifying the crossmember and fabbing up a mustache bar for the larger differential wouldn't be that big of a project for you. Depending on how low you plan on keeping the vehicle, you may have to invest in some camber/toe adjusters for the rear crossmember. Some are sold from FutoFab (same kit available from Byron Meston up in British Columbia, believe the same price as well). There is also the Datsport kit, but you're looking at money for a pre-fabbed piece + freight from Australia. They sell a DIY kit as well if you're handy with a welder and feel comfortable doing it.

Wolf Creek Racing sells a set of CV axles that bolt into a stock 510 rear suspension.

They are spendy. But I have not found a single person have a single complaint about them - they are a very well built part. Believe they use Porsche axles.

Consider WCR's kit to be the top dollar big-dawg axle kit you're ever going to find. There are several alternatives, such as custom adapters and modified VW axles, which work but aren't as beefy as the Porsche axles. If and when I'm able to purchase a set, I won't hesitate or think twice about the investment (even though I wish it was more reasonably priced!)

All it takes is money.

One reason i was going to do the corvette rear end is because i have most if not all of the IRS from a corvette. I have a second diff in the garage not sure what it is exactly but i took everything out of the back of the car today and thought about some things along with what you said makes since to stay stalk i need some refresher parts though the axles seem a bit worn and 400whp is about what ill be making. Thanks for the tips and info im new to the 510 seen but im learning these cars can take a lot of abuse. oh and any clue what this diff is i have not looked it up yet.

Number on it is: 214
