Mirrorimg
Hello all I have been quite interested in getting a 620 kc for some time. I really like the look of the truck and like projects. Im in the market for one and have been searching craigslist occasionally for a few months. Unfortunately, on the east coast, they dont pop up very often, especially king cabs. I saw a link to a CL ad in the for sale forum in Ohio and the truck has a Sunshine California "kit" on it. From what I have gathered, it is in effect boxy fender flares. Is this an option that came from the factory? I have never seen a truck like this and after doing some searching, saw only a few pictures which were marginal at best. Most of my searching returns models of the truck. Can any one elaborate on this? Or know of where I can find pictures for this? Thanks Quote Link to comment

My intention would be to swap in a ka24de, but that wouldnt be right away. I would like to clean up the body and work on suspension before I stepped into engine work. Get It. Im inclined to, but knowledge is power and it would be nice to find out more about it before taking off of work and flying to Ohio to drive it home :) Quote Link to comment

It sounds like a pretty good deal if it can drive the 500 miles home under its own power. I came across some more information. Seems as though the member Steroid knows a bit about this kit. http://community.ratsun.net/topic/5063-box-flares-on-a-620/ Quote Link to comment

Mirrorimg
Thanks guys. I still havent heard back from the seller so I am going to shoot him/her another email. I really like the look and simplicity of the stock bulletside, but if the flares are in good condition, it wouldnt hurt to save them. Or at least get them to someone who would appreciate them. pharouh
I was curious how those flares are attached. Are they screwed or bonded? Quote Link to comment
