Duck Ryder
Just got back from DMV, I am now the proud owner of a 1977 Datsun Pickup 620! Not new to datsun, and not really new to this truck either. When I was growing up my mother owned a 1973 Datsun pickup. Here is a little teaser: Uploaded with ImageShack.us More to come Quote Link to comment

Radio Or-re-gon Probably not the beavers you were hoping for, not that we really have any, mostly just see Nutrias (invasive species) kind of like californians Quote Link to comment

Duck Ryder
How Much Cheese Did You Fork Over?? Nevertheless, I Digg A Hellafunctional Truck ;) What's happening in MO town Zeusimo, I used to live there on the edge of town near empire (Yosemite and Clause). Graduated high school from Tracy. If ten pounds of Tillamook pepper jack cheese (better than cheddar) costs $50 (foodservicedirect), then it cost me 180 pounds of cheese! I.e. $900 It also happens to be an automatic, PO swears that makes it rare Quote Link to comment

JCR
that is one hell of a kangaroo killer on the front of that truck Quote Link to comment
Duck Ryder
PICS!!!! Sorry for the size.... I did try to resize, obviously it did not take Are these garden hoses? Picture may not show it, but the fender is a little mishaped The worst of the rust is under the battery. But not cancerous rust As best as I can access the floor pan Dont know what this is Or this Runs, interestingly enough on at least 2 year old gas. The truck has been sitting for 16 years under a carport in Oregon weather. Only driven long enough to get smog checked and registered. Its got some problems... brakes suck, will definitely upgrade to discs next month (reading threads now). Will probably go disc all around just to avoid adjusting the drums. The Alternator idiot light gets brighter as the rpms increase (belts are in bad shape) The engine nearly stalls when I accelerate (will rebuild the carb) The left turn signal clicker/indicator light on the dash works intermittently, but the actual turn signal works. Its only got an AM stereo!!!! A oil leak Doesn't fully heat up Hate pumping the brakes... Plans at this point are just disc brakes all around, cleaning the rust temporarily, have plans for a nice 5HP 2 stage compressor for some sand blasting and then some powder coating. Also replacing rubber parts, giving the cabin a good cleaning with bleach, including the hvac, it smells just a little musty. Maybe a smaller steering wheel so I can get my legs under a little easier (6'7") Probably keep the kangaroo killer ;) Damn kids in their civics and yuppies in their prius Quote Link to comment

pharouh
Nice to see another 620 saved! Garden hoses? Maybe, I've seen it done before. Check your wiring harness for 'fixes' too. People use pieces of extension cord to fix them. Quote Link to comment
