svo521
Got a bunch of little stuff done in the past few days, but im stuck at the moment. just got a metal fragment removed from my cornea... time for some better safety glasses i think.. living like a vampire for a day or two.. managed to find a door lock at the local locksmith for $23 they still have one if anyone needs it. svo521
couldn't drill that hole closer to the baffle if i tried..now i know it has one lmao had the thing filled up as full as i could with water... towards the end of welding this on i felt a blast of air come out of the fitting so hard it shifted my welding helmet to the side.. a few fumes left in it I think lmao solved alot of hood to intercooler clearance issues and made more room for future 3 inch down pipe by throwing together a cheap 2 inch body lift with left over 2 inch 120 wall drove to redding today for a 5x10 of 12 gauge and some angle to finish things up on the flatbed.... going to have a 4x5 left for floorboard replacing and maybe one under bed storage box :-) the back section is going to be like this with the front "grid" set down in the frame to get my fuel tank tool box lower than the rest of the bed. Also you can see the 5 inch super trap i modified to fit on the four inch pipe a better view of the front grid. the battery hold downs need trimmed a little to clear (already done as I type) and yes...... those are green wheels on the back now!!!! yay!!!!! 1 Quote Link to comment

Made a solid mount for the galaxy tab using leftover wood from the dash build... now i have touch screen instrumentation :-) My kids can now safely play on back of truck. no more jagged cut bed sides  Got some tie down hooks(1/4 raw chain links) and post pockets to weld on still. 1 Quote Link to comment

svo521
fire box floor... where it goes... tank and extender cut to fit fire box... a picture of my 510 hehe...... omg fire!..... still needs door and holes for damper on bottom of box(drill crapped out on me just after i drilled pilots for hole saw) but burned pretty good considering.... grill is going to sit at the same level as top of fire box... fried an egg!....... seasoned with weld slag and what ever flowed thru the gutter where my sheet metal was leaned up at hehe ewwwwww.... svo521
uh oh a butt picture...... seasoned real good. fries taters and onions like no other.... and a quick stop at Bonneville... Found out after climbing elevation that my pcv valve was no longer keeping boost out of the crankcase!! and it's been like that for a while because now that i have replaced it and installed a check valve in line with it, the whole ve table off of idle was lean... meaning that the amount of fuel hasn't changed so the volume of air going in now is more than before. I increased all the cells by 10 and autotuned it out. So far it seems like the thing takes longer to spin(duh no leak) but when it does oh boy! I can actually cruise without it spooled now lol Quote Link to comment
svo521
what do you do with 2 LG lucid smart phones after you have had enough of verizons BS?!? I thought about mailing them back to them in a bunch of tiny pieces.... but than i decided it would be better to zip tie them to my truck and take hd videos with them instead hehehehehe heres the first one, I know i should have rotated the camera and have fixed it for the next ones... http://youtu.be/BMZ_Uaf5_aA Quote Link to comment
svo521
Turbo hasn't been spooling very good since i fixed boosted crankcase problem....oil that made it's way into the intake filled the waste gate can with oil to the point that it wouldn't let it return to closed position. When i pulled the line off where it connects to boost controller oil shot out and i heard the flapper slam shut Yay!!!!!! boosting in 1st gear now!!!! Quote Link to comment
svo521
Going to be working on the cosmetic side of things this summer. Body work paint and a tube frame radiator support! gonna move the chevy headlights back about 2 inches so they are flush with hood line. It has been a while since i played with fiberglass, but im thinking of making a one piece grill/valance to fit the chevy lights. Quote Link to comment

svo521
Got 2 of these.... now I just need to find 2 more and than paint them :-) Gonna be helping my friend with a few things at his shop this week so we can get my truck in. Plan is to take the 302 from my old van(it's dirty but was rebuilt in 09) and put it in the truck.... wiring will be almost the same. same tfi plug, 4 more injectors etc. My mounts with the 2.3 are caveman status (thats a notch below farm) so we are gonna do it right with some leaf spring shackle bushings. The mounts i have now transfer allot of vibration through the whole truck. Cab is coming off so We can fab a bolt in trans xmember and paint the frame and underside of cab. Than we are building the cage!!!!!!! In trade He is getting a rolling 4x4 van chassis to throw a 16v cummins into  Quote Link to comment
