I was looking at the wheelbase of the Z ... shame Datsun didn't put the wheel further forward. I imagine V8 would improve the balance considering how much of the six was in front of the wheels.

I love both engines ... ;)

I dug through my pics when u said this ... forgot i had these!

71 240z ... Gen I 350 Chevy ... ( its now 3/4" farther back since this pic) .... J I could run a smaller balancer to drop the engine another 7/8" ... but I prefer the larger factory balanced lol.... 5/8" clearancer between balanced and steering rack if wondering ;) ... its all in my build thread in my sig. Engine is offset to passengers side as well.

i feel as this deserves its own thread

the body and the wheels are worth more than he is asking

I drove that car long before I had a Z, back when I wanted to buy it, it was like $1200 bucks needed a ton of work but for the right person it could be a fun project. After the person that beat me to it I saw it go into many hands and in a few shops but after all these years the cars looks the same. Skib better get it but for a lot less than the asking price.

it was a low 13 second car fast a lot of power stun the wheels without much effort, it was mainly an automatic but first and second had to be manually shifted the guy had to show me how to use it lol. It really was a shame I didn't buy it I was bummed out for awhile.
