GreaseMonky
Yeah, not sure if the rules are gonna let me run them or not, or if I am gonna have to weld them to make them not adjustable. Any idea what them front brakes are from? Quote Link to comment
philcas1987
carrera coilovers with Volvo calipers. My best guess. Was the hot ticket back in the day. Was is some sort of budget race car? Lots of cool stuff. Just dated and dirty. Sucks the rules you play with don't allow some of them Quote Link to comment
yello620
Any idea what them front brakes are from? S30 chassis.. Just might have S30 struts in it too. With the adjustable control arms controling camber, they would have been able to widen the track width a fair bit. Quote Link to comment
GreaseMonky
I am taking the car next week to see what they will let me get away with as far as the rules say, if they say no, then the suspension and brakes will be coming off and coming up for sale, or something. It also has dual master cylinders for the brakes and inside the car has a knob up by the steering column to adjust the brake bias. whats a s30 chassis?? Quote Link to comment

yello620
HAHA, sorry i forget that its that easy sometimes, I didnt think z struts where that good to use??? They arent in a stock 510 application, as they produce extreme positive camber. But in a race car with longer lower control arms and flaired fenders. They could get a much wider front wheelbase. Not saying that is what they did on this car, but it is possible to do. Quote Link to comment
GreaseMonky
is there any better pics I can take, to get a better Idea and post up? Quote Link to comment
yello620
is there any better pics I can take, to get a better Idea and post up? Maybe for somebody else to identify. I only knew that the caliper was either a S30 chassis or a 79-83 toyota 2wd PU. And your appear to be the S30. A picture of the backside(brake line inlet) of the caliper would help confirm it though. You might measure the lenghts of your lower control arms and conpare them to a stock 510 arm though. I am guessing that they would need to be about 3/4" longer to accomodate S30 struts in a 510.
