heater control valve

Having a time trying to find a new heater control valve for my dime. Anyone know if one from a 240 fits in place of a 510 one?

Or if anyone knows were I can find a stock one that would work too.

Jes, i believe i have a spare laying around for a 510, if you want to try the rebuild of one without tearing your car apart yet.

Well look at that, yet ANOTHER reason to make a trip to Yello's place. A new valve AND a ride in the VG truck. lol

After that I'll rebuild it lilke the article that Mike posted. The problem I have with mine is the end of the shaft is broke off at the pin hole for the linkage to make it work.

I was just curious about the Z car one because I found one on Ebay. I guess someone else will have to try that route.

go under there and pull it out to open it .Unless it leaks ,If dont leak just rout the heat to OFF so you dont feel it.

Thats what I have been doing. Now it's cool in the mornings and warm in the afternoons. Pain in the butt. I just want to fix it.
