having issues here with the hatchback, carburetor is giving a little problem

on city drive is fine super fine the problem is when I get on the freeway

did a complete tune-up already thinking it may be some in that area but nada

back to the freeway once I get to 4 gear car will hesitate to take off its getting extra fuel

so I go easy on the gas pedal release it for a few seconds pop the 5 gear easy on the pedal

and car will respond good sometimes reaching 65 mph up to 70 mph and no mas sad.gif

I looked at the glass window on carb for fuel level and its almost full.

what can I do to fix this issue?

I also pick up this 1200 carburetor with the idea of swapping for the A15 carb

your comments are welcome

Works a treat. Just need to swap the 210 jets into the 1200 carb. ;)

Will probably also have to swap the throttle hold-down bracket from the 210 carb onto the 1200 carb.

Set the float level. This is a simple procedure. The fuel level should be exactly halfway up the sight glass.

Will work pretty good, but you'll get slightly less performance (A15 carb has larger bores) and worse economy (A15 is jetted leaner and has fuel-economy improvements).

First try:

1. adjust the float (you don't have to remove the carb from the engine, see Float Level Adjustment.

2. Inspect and fix vacuum leaks (the 1200 carb may have them too, it is very very common).

I was able to find an older gentlemen that works on carburetor since the 70's

he did a complete rebuild on the stock A15 carb very happy with the results

his got a magic machine where he puts in the carb and comes out like new cool.gif

so the old 1200 carb is up for grabs if any one needs it $50.00 as is
