Farmer Joe
ah shit indy, looks like you need a new rear floorpan from a donor car, and then just raise it up to make it so the rear end doesnt drag... rust never sleeps.. Link to comment
FiveTenzo
As another who has Ermish coilovers, I have to say they are the best out there. Back when I built my first 510 in the early eighties, H&R were really nice, and the two are very similar. yeah im deffinitly getting them, just gotta get rid of my ttt ones. thanks. Link to comment
SR20DETdatsun510
I've got some QA1 Carrera Hal coilovers with Hyperco springs. Probably very similar to Troys but custom valved. The body is about 12 and so is the spring. I hope they can go as low as yours.... That would be nice!!! Link to comment
INDY510
How do they ride/feel? im guessing 10 is better for low? Best rear suspension I've ever had in a 510 ... .. cut springs and a rear sway bar feels like a boat compared to #225 coilovers on all corners and no rear sway bar .... the #225 springs are a little too stiff for daily driving.... but I'm always bottoming out the rear shocks anyway if it's low Just so everyone knows ...... this is the absolute lowest setting for my 510 to still be driveable on the freeway going 70mph: Link to comment
INDY510
. Been driving like this for 4 months: ........ ... . . .it was bad in the rain Link to comment

INDY510
LOL you kill me Indy. Ok, now you have me curious (yet again.) Why are we putting so much time into Ruby's engine bay if there are no plans? And why aren't we putting that time into her rear seat pan area if that is what parked her to begin with? Heck you'd probably almost have her repaired back there by the time you paint this bay! Instead you will have a pretty engine bay sitting in the yard on a shell with nothing in it! You must be new here .... ah shit indy, looks like you need a new rear floorpan from a donor car, and then just raise it up to make it so the rear end doesnt drag... rust never sleeps.. That has been my "top secret" plan for the last 5 years to raise the rear suspension on my 2 door ..... .. and here you go taking credit for this idea ..... Link to comment

INDY510
. I'm seriously going to raise the whole rear suspension .... .. the 510 has frame rails holding everyting together in between the spring pockets ..... all of this rusted sheet-metal is not "very" structural .... .. I bet it would still drive: I'm not fucking around.... .. I'm not throwing this car away ..... .. I'm not painting the exterior .... .. It's going to function better at a lower ride height .... and be able to drag the rockers while driving ..... throwing sparks with coilovers is the goal ..... :hairy: Link to comment
