1lo620
Y a the Mazda was one of my favorite trucks that I built ( well helped ) It went to Worlds greatest event, Reso, and Mini Truck Nationals several times. I sold it with 235000 miles. And have never seen it since. And your right on the Head lights they are Escort, and my friend also graffted the grill into the mazda grill so it looks like a escort GT grill with the headlights. I wouls like to do another mazda again...I really love the body, nice and clean...It got a photo shoot at Bon Ton (worlds greatest event) but it never got featured...The 89 nissan xcab was featured, in Mini truckin...It was built by the same guy who built the mazda. And he has also painted all my trucks and he is helping me restore my chop top 620 right now.... I hae a seriuos love for Mini trucks. I have for years. I got the bug back int he early 80s when I was racing bmx bikes and I would travel to California alot and Mini trucks where all over the place. And I had friends that had them and I just had to have one. And I have never looked back. I tend to go over bored a bit but it is fun to get drive them show them off and meet people. Hell I met my x wife now through mini trucks. in fact she has a done up Mazda xcab with a targa top. It is sitting in her parents barn wasting away. It will be mine one day she is just being bitchy now... the Mazda interior Quote Link to comment

Wow you've owned more sic minitrucks than I've owned cars period. Nice that you keep you collection fluid and keep trying new things! Speaking of trying new things and mazda trucks, ever think about doing a REPU? I've never seen one slammed (they all seem to be left at stock height.) But I would love too someday! And looking at these, you could do them justice! Quote Link to comment
1lo620
Ok I have been around for awile, but what is a "repu"...??? Quote Link to comment
fisch
A REPU is a Mazda Rotary minitruck. They started about 1974 I think. I read they were the fastest of the minitrucks. Though I'd really love to someone do a Toyota Stout too! There is a repu and a stout on ebay right now. http://mazdarepu.com/Gallery/index.php3 And here is my favorite Toyota Stout!
