datsun65
Received this extra engine along with a car purchase a few months ago. Is this an A series engine or a J series? Thanks! Quote Link to comment
datsunrides
Looks A series, Probably A14 based on smog and IR alt. Mark Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
Not a J series, they have an internal oil pump and the filter is directly behind the alt. The engine size is stamped into the side of the block , aprox. behind the dizzy area. Quote Link to comment
KELMO
My vote is later model A motor...dizzy in the middle and alternator high and on the RH side Quote Link to comment
Duncan
If you look at the side of the block, (can't remember which side) an A Series motor has id that says A12, A14, or A15. And that certainly looks like a A Series to me. Quote Link to comment
