chris67
Clutch pedal wont move its solid as a rock. The fluid level was low but thats as far as i got. The truck has been sitting for over 10 years. I am not sure what tranny it is but it is a L16 motor. Slave cylinder? Quote Link to comment
ggzilla
Just as easily could be the master cylinder. To test that open the bleeder at the slave. If the pedal still won't move it is not the slave cylinder. Maybe the pedal is stuck, but seems unlikely. Quote Link to comment

wayno
Hey Chris, I have brought home trucks that the master cylinders(both) were frozen solid inside themselves, like the brake slaves when they set for long amounts of time, they just rust themselves solid. wayno Quote Link to comment
paradoxx
yes, definetly they dont work anymore.....the same thing happened to me with 2 510's that I bought. Time to change them! Quote Link to comment

(The spring was also only attached to one side of the slave). Quote Link to comment
paradoxx
either way, its very recommended to replace them, for testing purposes you could use them, but not for normal drive, because the rust cavities might damage the seals and may cause a severe damage to the transmission, just my thoughts. (The spring was also only attached to one side of the slave). Either the slave is seized or the clutch arm isn't moving. Unbolt the slave and have someone gently depress the peddle. If the slave is ok the pushrod will move outward. If there is movement, have the person stop or the piston in the slave may over extend. I imagine it's the slave that's seized. Quote Link to comment
chris67
Wow i found a issue the slave push rod is pushed all the way out and just hanging there that might be the problem  Quote Link to comment

banzai510(hainz)
look for spark at the center coil wire near ground? when trying to start. get gas or pour some gas in carb, ck the valve lash to make sure the valves are closing and your not loosing compression read this http://olddatsuns.com/620tech.htm I would really ck the gas tank also ,maybe even empty it Quote Link to comment
Braden
its super easy to remove and rebuild the clucth master and slave, probably total of about 1.5 hours worth of work, even if you havent ever done it. just make sure verything is super cleand and the rubber plunger cups are in good shape and not damaged Quote Link to comment
