datsunz
My 520 has the stock size 6.00's on it and they have some bad dry rot. I did a search and most said use 195/75/14, but also say it is almost too big for the stock older rims. Mine has the older stock rims and I was wondering if I should go 195/75/14 or if there is a better size that will look "stock" ? Thanks Chris Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
6.00 14 is the same as (more or less) a 160/70R14 . A 195/75R14 is close to an inch wider but a whopping 2.5" taller. Width is fine but the extra height will affect the speedometer and act like a lower diff. ratio. Quote Link to comment
420n620
I run 195/70/R14 on my stock 78-620kc and I'm not having a prob, except my speed-o is off a little. I'd go ahead an run the 195/75/14 and go have sum fun. where's the pic's of thee 521, i don't see themz.. :P Quote Link to comment
datsunaholic
I have a 6.00 PR14 OEM Toyo tire I pulled from under my '76. Tube-type. Probably one of the original tires from the factory. Standing next to a P205/75R14, the 6.00 is taller by about an inch. And it's nearly wore out. The P205/75R14 isn't. I should break out the measuring tape, but just eyeballing it the tire sidewalls are a bit more than 6" tall. The tire is only 6" wide- more like a 165/110R14. Quote Link to comment
510kevin
what about a 185 70 14? that gets you a little closer. and its a common size Quote Link to comment
