Radim
I've been searching for a while on how to remove a dash, now i really need the know-how. Recently found a dash without any cracks but i'm not sure how to take it off... Thanks! 1 Quote Link to comment
metalmonkey47
Hacksaw and hammer. Unless you want to keep it in nice condition. You trying to pull just the cap? Or frame as well? 1 Quote Link to comment
moparvwfreak
theres 3 screws at teh front of the dash under the window that need to come out and 2 on either side by the vents underneath. i have pulled 3 or 4 of these dashes and if memory serves thats it. easier way of doing it without having to deal with pulling the pad. 1 Quote Link to comment
Jersey
I believe there are also a couple of 10mm bolts that have to come out at the steering column as well...I think you also have to unhook the heater cables too. 1 Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
Plus un-hook the vent pulls, unplug the dash instruments, heater controls, heater electrical, radio antenna, speedometer cable, ignition relay on steering column..... There's more I'm sure. 1 Quote Link to comment
Radim
Cool cool, thanks guys! If i can't get the whole thing off i'll just take the pad off. 1 Quote Link to comment
mike
...Dont try taking the pad off the frame, pull the whole damn thing. The easiest way to get to the three screws along the windsheld is by removing the windshield and using a big phillips (not the standard little one) Also, remove the steering wheel and drop/loosen the column. It will make it waaaayyyy easier and it will lessen the chances of breaking/cracking it when you remove it. If the guages and everything else is in good shape, just leave it all assembled and unplug the harness on the passenger side firewall. Soak your fusebox in lemon juice, plug it in and cross your fingers that everything works. ...The less youve got to mess with it the less your chances are of screwing it up :) When reinstalling you can use short bolts with the same thread pitch as fender bolts for the screws up top (8x1.25??? could be wrong but somebody here knows :) )Theyre way easier to handle. Dont forget to hook up the side airvents before putting it back in... You will have to loosen the whole damn thing up again to put them in without breaking them... 1 Quote Link to comment

I was just saying last night I wish I had a diagram of the board behind the gauges on a 620. Thanks for granting my wish and posting those pics! 1 Quote Link to comment
deadmonkey
Because I take my dash out allot I'm going to replace those 3 phillips screws with body bolts... I really hate those 3 screws! It's like they screwed on the dash before they put in the windshield! The angle is madening! 1 Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
I broke a perfect 620 windshield taking those fuckin things out once. 1 Quote Link to comment
rgk93
Having some trouble getting the drivers side out. All the bolts and screws are out, the cable for the speed dial is holding it in. Does it just unscrew? 1 Quote Link to comment
]2eDeYe
It unscrews from the back of the speedo. 1 Quote Link to comment
gijosh
Thanks for this thread, ive been struggling with the center bolt on my truck. That and trying to figure out whats still connected has been a pain in the ass. 2 Quote Link to comment
ChinoMike408
Where is the center bokt at. I can't seem to find the damn thing. My bezel is pretty much out besides that bolt that won't allow me to access the cables in the back 1 Quote Link to comment
