DanielC
I have a 240Z cable on my 521. The five speed cable I used was longer. I am not sure about the factory tachometer wiring Quote Link to comment
yellowdatsun
You can still order them from Autozone. A couple months back I ordered on for an automatic 510 to fit my VG30 transmission. Cheap too. Quote Link to comment

I had one that did that and I sent it off to my friend to have him rebuild it and put better stuff in it. What he did exactly I have not clue, but, it works again. I believe there is a thread on here somewhere about tach repairs and updates. As for the speedo cable, yes, the 240 should work, but, you can still get the 510 one from almost any auto parts store or Nissan. Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
The truck cable will work just fine, better longer than short. The truck trannys built after Sept '72 ('73 year model) were long so longer cable. They are on the pass side too. I would imagine the 610 and 710 would easily fit too. Quote Link to comment
HRH
We still have them available at NAPA, I got one for the 510 last year. They are pretty cheap, and the construction reflects that. They still work just fine, but a factory one (if you can get it) is nicer. Quote Link to comment
