Laecaon
Actually it was only 10.8V through the headlight fuses, which is what raised the red flag. But that was with car off, so I want to check again with the car running. Actually should just check the at the bulbs themselves... I still have a feeling a nice relay harness will be made. its_karl
You'd need a way to completely shut the throttle to get that to stop. I used to clutch kill mine, not sure if that's worse to do. My 710 goon was notorious dieseler as well.. Quote Link to comment
RedBanner
Dont drop the.clutch to.kill it. When you turn the key off floor it. 1 Quote Link to comment
its_karl
mine was bad enough that it caused the a valve seat to drop, of course fuel cooling the seat in a hot head. That's how they're installed, makes sense they could fall out that way. It provided warning too, I just couldnt figure out what the intermittent chatter was. ended up replacing head, gasket, timing set, and ran alot nicer, eventually started dieseling again though. Laecaon
My car diesels from 1) too low of octane 2)too rich of idle mixture 3)too much advance. With my weber, I just turned the idle mixture screw a quarter turn leaner and my dieseling stopped. 1 Quote Link to comment
Laecaon
I ordered some electrical supplies to relay the headlights. It should come out pretty nice, and clean looking. 1 Quote Link to comment

datzenmike
Why waste gas? Just hold the brake and let the clutch up enough to slightly load the motor so it struggles to idle and just turn off. Wait for it to stop to prevent jerking and then release the pedal fully. A passenger won't even know what you're doing with practice. When you think of the abuse a clutch gets daily this is nothing to worry about. Done this for years. Quote Link to comment
MicroMachinery
There's no clutch yet ... well, unless you count the multiple clutch plates and friction discs inside the 3N71B ;) 4 Quote Link to comment

datzenmike
Yes, just shut off idling in gear, then put in park. Done this too. Quote Link to comment
