My suggestion is that if it's a one time sort of thing, look into renting one. I picked up an engine in Tillamook a couple of years ago, and it was $19 to rent a cherry picker for the day...

 

I have one that I've not used very much, and it's in the way A LOT. It's great when you need it, but then it sits when you don't...

I've got one that is usually available to borrow also.

 

Thanks man, sounds good. ill know more today, im bringing that engine in to have my buddy check out the cylinder walls. if it comes back a bad bill of health ill be stripping it and parting whats good out.

 

 

I got one too you can use kind of like the stand lol
