First off I am posting this for a friend after seeing his ad on Craigslist. I have never seen this car in person and have only had email conversation with Mr. Halsted.

Also Mr. Halsted added about this Z in an email to me:

the Bob Sharp car is the real deal, I first tried to buy it back in 1978 but was a couple hundred bucks short of what he said he'd have to get to sell it and he wouldn't budge. it's an upstate NY car, floors and frame rails have been replaced/fabricated and do not look original. car has some rust issues, gas tank has been pulled as it leaked (have a spare in a parts car here) if you do your own body work you could be in it ok but if you would be paying a shop by the hour to redo it, would get pretty expensive. they only made about 20 of them. the BSR cars were done in different levels of go- mine is primarily an appearance package. different interior, special paint job, headlight covers, air dam, spoiler. engine looks stock.

Maybe its the one everyone was posting about a while back. The crazy guy with property packed with cars and the gov forcing him to remove them? There were a bunch of z's there.

Ah that could be, he prolly means 700 cars total rather than 700 Z cars specifically. Makes more sense.

Well see that's the thing, if 700 it doesn't jive because supposedly that guy has 10k+ on his property.

I was thinking 700 out of 10k+ is a fare shake lol.

Woah! That is some crazy ass #'s right there. Can you imagine 700 Z skeletons staring at you. Wow!

Do you recall if this hoard was in VT?

i emailed him to let him know he was crazy for asking that much.

They sell for a few hundred dollars if that, in that kind of rusted condition. I do know he is east coast, but holy shit man. Be cheaper/easier/better to buy one over here and have it shipped. For fucks sake. Still cheaper even. Could buy Jesters pickup and ship it there. Still be under that price.

Oh yeah, its super rare, with its original motor. Man, the price of my 720 just went from 800 to 9 million dollars!!!111!

They are rarer here then west coast no doubt about that but he is just retarded. Unless it's a joke anyway or he just doesn't know how to type. I mean he does say he changes the out every 300,000 miles in the ad lol.

They are more expensive here but only by like 25%. Its the same bs as these dumb kids trying to sell their 510 shells they over paid on for 3k.
