datzenmike
This was posted earlier by Brian (Hang_510) and so impressed me I'm putting it here. http://www.510coop.com/heater/ Great tech! I have suggested that people take a look at 620 valves and maybe adapting them for use on the 510., but I meant switching them. Taking apart and swapping parts is cool. Anyway, thank you Brian! jesusno2
I was thinking, why even use the valve? Seriosly how often do you need to cool down the heater in a 510 if anything mine needs a turbo mode blower motor Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
In the summer when it's hot you don't need a heater core with 190 degree water radiating even more heat into the cab. Trust me heat will leak out. Quote Link to comment

philcas1987
I'm in the process of rebuilding my heater. This post really helps out. I think It would help everyone out if another little write up would be added to it. As far as I know there was a couple different heater cores and and valves. Identifying the different heaters woulde be great info. Also a list of part numbers for the hoses and valves. This would really make this how to complete. Quote Link to comment
hang_510
As far as I know there was a couple different heater cores... ive seen 3 (different port angles-same dimensions) for 510's alone  Quote Link to comment

benzo
This is a helpful write up. I just rebuilt my heater valve using a 620 heater valve inards. What I did for replacement hoses as it seemed dealers don't carry no more was I got a hose from a 92- 95 civic part # 79721-SR3-000 or any honda for the most part taking the heater hose from the head to heater control valve . that hose has a close 90 degree bend for the passenger side and also used some of the remainder hose to do the bit of straight on the driver side for the valve. I used honda heater hose clamps as those are a clamp that is meant for heater hoses not like standard clamps as those can cut hoses. I also cleaned out the core inside and out and hardware and fan assembly. make sure to test the core to make sure it is not leaky also. Quote Link to comment
