I thought my trans was f'd up too. When cruising I would hear a rattling noise coming form the transmission area. Its was my exhaust hitting the body. Look into that.

It was not your truck then. Still an very clean truck! It wont need smog just because its diesel right? Forgot about that. Its a 1979 and it will need smog testing if its gas powered engine... Keep it diesel and look into the Maxima diesel engine for parts.

If your going to do all that. Try and convert the front too disks. The rear shoes aren't carried by Autozone anymore. Brake shoes and brake drums are becoming extinct.

I just seen that vid And I dont think the Maxima has what you need. Just get a gas l20b and convert it to efi and turbo. That would be sweet!!!!

Was the truck recently bought around LOS ANgeles? I was sooo going to buy that truck. I really didn't care that it was diesel or even if the engine did not work. I wanted the engine to convert my gas L20b into a turbO L20bt!!!! Nice truck and good luck. Maybe a L6 Maxima diesel might have the part your looking for?

Its a temperature switch for the carb? I bought it new but I think for me that I changed to a weber it has no more use.

They look like old Dodge wheels. I like it though! Would It be cheaper to find the Dodge center caps? They look cool, but I don't know about the price in making custom center caps. I know you can make them. But I cant... I got to think outside the box.
