  1. It's a love/hate kind of thing haha
  2. Ahhh well that's not bad at all for a little 4.3 Edelbrock makes a 400HP kit for the thing that replaces the whole top end. Pretty pricey though. I'd go for the 4.3. You'll be really glad to have the extra HP in the end. Do you know the specs at all for the 3.8? And as far as the steering goes, I'd love to help you but I have never gone that far in depth with steering :P
  3. Sweet! Got they air working again!!!!
  4. I love the way they look on that rim. I may have to look into a set when I'm finished burning off the Vipers :P
  5. wow. Now I feel bad for posting pictures of ours. lol That thing is sexy.
  6. Same as what kama said. My brothers is the Vortec and we just ordered a set the other day. All outside dimensions should be the same. The difference in the engines is mostly top end. here what our rebuild looks like. It started knocking one day, so we pulled it and got it bored, honed etc.
  7. Holy crap! This has gotta be one of the coolest builds I've seen. Kinda reminds me of this rat rod I saw at a car show a few years back.
  8. Nice tire size! what brand are they?
  9. True, however the Vortec uses different heads and if I'm correct, is lighter then the pre-Vortec 4.3L engines. Also has a forged bottom end? Not 100% though.
  10. Wicked! I've been in the market for an AE86 for a while now, but not luck :(
  11. Well hell, thats a nice deal :P
  12. Are you looking at a Carb'ed 4.3? Or the Vortec TBI?
  13. Alright I'll let you know as soon as we get em in. Hopefully they ship soon. lol
  14. Not a prob! We got a set comin soon, so If you're interested I'll let you know how they fit when we get em. Also, Summit Racing carries them, but it's a bit of a higher price.
  15. Yeah, I think that the distance is minmal between your are and mine, but i'm not sure. I'm limited on what work I can do at the moment. I've had Cobb County Code Enforcement breathing down my neck the last few weeks so I'm having to lay low on my work. lol
  16. It's my understanding that the majority of 4.3L headers fit GM engines, as long as it specificly says that they are designed for GM or Chevy 4.3L engines. Usually, the best that you will find are whats listed as "block huggers" which in your situation, may be exactly what you want since you're looking to save space under the hood. Your not likely to find any shortie style headers for a 4.3 that are resonably priced.
  17. Best results is by searching GM or Chevy 4.3L headers. Prices range from 200-400$ My brother just ordered a set a few min ago :P
  18. They have lots of petential. It's pretty easy getting them in and out. The fact that they're a V6 gives you lots of elbow room to get around wherever you need to go.
  19. Pretty general question hopefully someone can answer. I've got an old ignition from a junked sunny for my car. Autozone carrys 6 and 7 pin lock cylindars for my ignition. my question is, can I use a 6 or 7 pin? Or is there a size difference?
  20. I'll have to see what I ca do. The Datto is broken right now. Waiting on a few parts and gotta diagnose an electrical problem. Hopefully it's going to be all sorted out by then so I can get her out. I'm in Marietta. I live right in the middle of all the flooding that we had a few months back. Thanks! I got the bike for free from a friend. Just got lucky I guess. I've spent a total of about $300 on parts getting her where she is now. $200 for 2 CB's is an excellent deal. You might want something a little bit bigger though. Old Suzuki's make great starter bikes, or even a CB450.
  21. With the tibby :) Brothers project. Then; The 73 Honda project with the Datto.
  22. First off, I'd like to congratulate you on your well formed paragraph. Yes my contribution to the forum is minimal, but as I said I am new and I've said you don't have to listen to shit I've said. Either way, I don't think anything you and I say will have any effect so I don't quite understand your hostility.
