  1. Never heard of them, however I know F1 clutches are supposed to be pretty great on miatas
  2. Nice. Is that dash crack free?
  3. In all seriousness, I'm actually supposed to be moving with monkeygirl down to Daytona FL in a few short months. If I land a new job up here, that's gonna throw it all off, so I'm not sure what I'm going to do right now
  4. for $60 I would't be too worried Typical wear parts (bearings and things) you can source out at Napa in minuets. Now you get to bask in the glory of others ignorance
  5. Wouldn't that kinda throw off your groove, having Bieber living with you? I'll be stealing all yo ladies
  6. Thanks man, we kinda do get lucky here I guess That manifold will serve me well! Now to update... I've noticed that I have a worsening rattle in the valve cover (sounds like loose valves) so I'm going to go ahead and adjust them before my interview tomorrow. I have about 2000 miles on Castrol 10w-30 and a Napa Gold, so I know it's not that. I haven't adjusted them since I got the truck, so It's probably about time. I swapped my old copper NGK plugs with some new Platinum 7084's and gapped them to .44 and got a little bit more mid-range power and a more consistent idle, so I'm really satisfied with the way the trucks running right now.
  7. SOOOOO I figured this was overdue for an update... I got a call from my insurance agent yesterday to interview me regarding the accident. I gave him the basic rundown, told him where I was and where she was relative to me before changing into my lane and he told me that based on my description of the accident, he's denying the claim and listing her at fault. He's filing a claim with her insurance company on my behalf and is going to fight with them to make sure that I can try and get something back in terms of repairs. I have to go get a copy of the police report and look it over, but he said that it seems pretty obvious what happened and mentioned that with his experience in similar cases, I have a fair chance of getting some kind of pay out. I'm pretty happy, since some chance is better then no chance. I got a call yesterday from the ladies husband wanting to settle the claim, which seemed kind of odd considering they filed a claim with my insurance, which means they should have had no reason to call me. Until I get Progressive (her insurance company) to come look over the truck, I was advised to refrain from ANY alterations to the physical state, in order to keep them from finding excuses to deny my claim or not pay out fully for damages (IF it gets to that point.) I'm just keeping my fingers crossed.
  8. Interview @ Forged Performance in a few hours... (Thanks to M-O-T) Kinda hoping I get this job so I can get more play money!

  9. Sweet score HRH. Wish I could find some cool transmissions for cheap around here
  10. I think a good question is, what are you trying to achieve with the build? Race motor, max HP, High revs, peppy DD, towing power???
  11. I know that feel. Srsly, I do
  12. You would have the hottest period-ish correct Datto in ATL dude. Go for it! What are you putting this in?
  13. Anyone interested in meeting up somewhere in Hiram just outside of Dallas and rolling in? Hitch, if we had your dogleg and L20B in the dime you could bring it
  14. Just gonna leave this here... Madness, I agree. But at some point we have to.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rqkMsXcHQYg
  15. Can't say I really have any advice to give here, but someone will come along shortly who does. Good luck man! I know how it is to hit a bug half way through a swap.
  16. Don't really have to be a wiring pro to figure this one. Electronic ignition, or points? We need more info.
  17. Kiznook, what size is the flywheel? Assuming it fits 620 L20B (pretty sure they had a different size flywheel then the car L20B, but I could be wrong)
  18. but it rhymes Anyways, small update. Got it out of the shed! Put 12v on it and found no headlights or rear turns. I have no fuel flow to the carb, so I think the floats stuck. Also have no traceable spark even with a brand new coil on it. Clutch is locked up and need to rebuild the carb, but I think those are the only real issues, I'll be turning this thread over to Josh_T to continue, as he will be doing the work on it since I'm no 2 stroke guy and he's very good with them. For now, I leave you with some of my many pictures... it's up to Josh from here on
  19. Those look pretty cool. Are those steel? If so, they're in damn good shape for their age.
  20. Totally forgot I didn't reply to this thread. You rock flatcat! That actually seems like a pretty feasible idea. All I know is that my trans measures about 26'' Sucks to hear that. I was looking more for simplicity here, since L series 5 speeds are worth their weight in gold down here (practically) I'm looking for other possible solutions. I will at the moment keep looking for L series transmissions, however the amount of info in this thread is phenomenal. I'm bookmarking this because I may be back to do this change over one day.
  21. And that, ladies and gentlemen, is Ratsun!
