  1. So the my buddy that had the car before me took off all the headlight trim and got the car painted. In doing so the hood holes where the trim screws go are filled up. Any idea's on how I should install the hood trim? Glue? Drill out the holes? I'm putting the trim on either way bc I don't like 510 fronts without it. Thanks in advance!
  2. 25k...it's crazy how much people think their Datsuns are worth. I don't how much it's worth, but 25k is over the top.
  3. Laural is my favorite JDM car. Get it!
  4. I just want to bang chicks when listening to the music in your vid. Just saying.
  5. Ha, bought some wiper arm nuts Window runners Panel clips... And will be buying a carpet kit soon. So not what I did to my 510 today, but what I did for...
  6. Off the top of my head: SR20DE long block & tranny Custom fab'd tranny tunnel Custom fab'd dizzy (L series/SR) Custom radiator Carb set-up (manifold, carbs) SR20 swap kit (Maddat, or fab one yourself) Fuel system Ingnition system(I used MSD 6AL) Lightned clutch flywheel (optional but recommended) Over flow tanks x2 Custom plug wiring Misc..hoses, parts, etc.. Custom or fitted header(My header was custom made by BP in San Jose) Custom or fitted exhaust (My exhaust was custom made by BP in San Jose) Front sway bar My rear end is stock, at 150/60ishWHP my rear end is fine. I'm doing head work next year, at that point I'll be swapping in a H165 Ute rear-end. Also keep in mind, you'll need suspension as well. If I think of more, which there is, I'm update this post. All together the swap was about 6K. Not including the car. If a shop does it, probably about 8-9K. Performance Inframe Tuning in Napa, helped with a lot of the swap. They've also worked on my SR20VE 510 back in the day. This swap took me about 2 years, maily because I didn't have all the parts collected that I needed, and it took forever to figure out if I wanted to cut my tunnel.
  7. It's a tough decision. At first I was upset that I did it, but now that it's said and done I'm super happy. The tranny tunnel swap is what hurt the most. But having a car that rips is priceless! From 70hp to 151whp, is a world of difference.
  8. Just google it. It's Honda, Hellaflush, Rice-shaved engine bays, trailer queens, etc... I can already see the OSJCS(Old School Japanese Car Scene) getting that way with some of the builds at JCCS. Also, how you going to spend 30k on your build and put $400.00 knock-off wheels on your car!? Really bro? Just saying.
  9. So I made it to JCCS. Didn't sleep for almost two days though, ha. Wish I could have powdercoated my valve cover, lifted my exhaust, and lowered my front and back about an in or so to close the gap. Also, on the way back from JCCS my throw out beariing went, so I had to leave the 1200 at my friends house and drive my 510 back up to the bay. People seemed to like the SR20 OER carb'd set-up. Cool. Not sure I'll be attending anymore JCCS's though. I felt a Wekfest kind of vibe there and that's not my thing, I'll be sticking to the smaller type shows, if I even go. Good time, never the less.
  10. Here's a shot of the car on the dyno, can get the video to post. But there's the link if someone can help me out. haha https://youtu.be/tP8VULu_y_8
  11. That's the owner in the tent behind his car, Ricardo. We were chilling in the corner. Great guy btw.
  12. JCCS was ok. It was my first time and meh. A lot of cool cars for sure, but I can see it being or turning into a Wekfest, tuner type of show if it's not already that way. My brother who's been to the first JCCS's mentioned that as well. Probably won't be returning for a long time, if I even go again. Good first time experience for sure!
  13. I feel like I'm in one of those stupid car shows where I'm trying to get the build done in time...lol. Stupid.
  14. Okay so there was a jetting problem with my carbs. On the way to Rebello to pick up some jets! Will have to work all night to get everything done for the 450 mile trip down to Long Beach. Wish me luck!
  15. I intially heard webber jets worked but my tuner told it's just Mikuni. My brother is actually driving up to rebello racing right now to pick up jets from them. Man what a roller coaster ride to try to make it to JCCS. I'll have to work all night tonight, register my car tomorrow, then take off hopefully around 10 am. Thanks for your response!
  16. I'm trying to get jets for my OER's. I know I can get them from Azcarbum of 510 realm but I think he has to order them from JAPAN. I know either Mikuni or Webber work, but I'm not exactly sure. All info helps.
  17. I thought I was going but there is no way I can get all the shit done to my car that I need to. Bummed bc I paid the fee. Hahaha...
  18. Bro you're always welcome to any thread I make, ha!
  19. Will do! Thank you! I'll let everyone know how it turn outs. How should they be doing it? What's the right way?
  20. A member here messaged me and there's a shop by my house that re archs the leaf springs. I'll proably go that route. Thanks for all the replies, help!
