also, door hinge came today. its off a 520, but it looks the same, we shall see in a bit.

pm'd "redeye" , he is making mounts for 620 with ka's. i told him i'd like to try them out for 521, cuz i think they shoud work, or at least be damn close. so, thats what im using as far as mounts, he is getting me prices on powder coating. then we will try them out! i will document and take lots of pics of the install after i recieve these, and go get the trans and all the other goodies.

no turbo. no idea on the gauge. i went and drove 6 hours tonight to see it. its in ok shape at the least. chopped springs, chopped "short throw" shifter. matte black paint job that looks half ways decent from a block away. header, home made cold air intake, fart cannon. runs super good, and pulls decent. some nice looking 15 inch aftermarkt gold rims. he also has a set of front kyb's, with eibach coils. not sure its worth what he wants..... he also has some kind of aftermarket pulley set up thats not installed. also comes with stock 13 inch wheels, 2 14 inch steel wheels with snow tires, and 2 brand new 205/55/15's. i'd like those for my datsun.

anyone have any thoughts on these cars. its not an ser :( just the ga16. heres the add chevy it out and lmk. he said the body is great besides a few dings and scratches. My link

sucessful night! but also a shitty night. so, i got my piston rings in, got em all gapped to specs and put em on the pistons! so, the first one i install goes badly. i get it in the spring compressor, start to tap it into cylinder, and just as i take another tap, the ring compressor took a shit and flung apart. :( fucked up the bottom oil ring. went to parts store and bought new compressor and finished the other 3. So now i have 3 installed pistons, and one broken oil ring... this sucks, cuz these rings were $80, and i coud really use 80 bux for the rest of the motor. does anyone have a spare oil ring set (3 pieces for one piston) they would sell seperately?

wait. wat do you mean with piston? im talking about just putting the rings in the bore with out the piston and measuring the gap.

just looking at the second post on this page. does turbo'd or not matter? i do plan on maybe turboing in a couple years.

for a 92 240sx ka24de. the ring gap is top ring .0017 second ring .0019 just clarifying befors i assemble bottom end

well a couple weeks ago i took the drivers door off to find out why it had so much up and down play. found door pin to be broken and rusted very badly. it will not come out. so today i bought one from "420n620" should be here by the end of the week then i can put the door back on

pulled it out of garage again. drive in cousins '84 chrysler 5th avenue and did plugs,wires,cap,rotor, oil change, fuel finter and air filter. also cleaned and waxed it. made 50 for doing it. started at 8, and was done at 1:00 :) decent day for me

looks like me and a buddy might be working out a deal to get into an old shop of my grandpas. no heat, insulation, needs shingles and other things. but we can do all the work and can get it cheap! 100 a month, split between 2 of us. 2 large stalls, plus a huge office, starage space. one 12 foot door, and 1 8 foot door. the 8 foot door only has a 9 foor ceiling, and the 12 foot door probaby has a 15 foot ceiling. its a weird ceiling setup. but it will work. i think i can get a drive on hoist scissor style with a hydraulic setup for next to nothing. probably under 200 bux. we are building a new shop at work, and we are getting brand new everything. so i might be abe to score here. this shop i might be getting also has a pretty decent cement floor, at a slight angle to the doors so the water will run out. also has a big air compressor. its old and hasnt been used for a long time, so idk if its any good. :) this will be used for the datsun, and his mustang. if we can pick up a few side jobs a month, wi wil do them, but just to help our projects along a little. :cool:
