    66' 520 build

I believe the interchange is the BMC, B-Series motor. I used several engine internal components in my rebuild. Keith
  2. On the 1966 Datsun 520 the parcel material is mounted above the shelf frame. Keith
  3. There should be four (4) 3/8" holes on the floor of the cab, approx 7.75" from the rear bulkhead. These are the anchor points for the lap belts. Keith
  4. The Safari Gold 240Z is mine. Wesglock had his 510 at the same P&B shop that work on my cars. Keith

  7. I rebuilt a J13 using some MG B Series parts. PM sent Keith
  8. Welcome. Great basis for your plans. Keith
  9. Great. The bolt.screw head is recessed. is the head a FILLISTER style? Now, how about the nut, the flat face of the bolt not fully contacting the curved surface of the knob. (If the fastener is tightened too much, the knob will crack at the contact point of the nut.) Keith
  10. What fastener is used for the Heater Lever/Knob? I have tried mant bolt and nut combinations, but none seem to seat against the contour of the knob. http://www.carpartsmanual.com/datsun520/Datsun520521Index/Electrical1300J13/Heater/tabid/1439/Default.aspx http://community.ratsun.net/topic/53515-521-heater-leverknob-30-shipped/?hl=%2Bheater+%2Bknob Thanks, Keith

  13. mhub91, This Patrol should be saved. Keith
  14. Does anyone have a photo and dimensions of the J Series engine hand crank handle? Thanks, Keith
  15. Keep me in mind if you need some Patrol parts. Perhaps we can trade some of my extra parts for your extra parts? Keith
  16. Very cool. Please save the old parts you remove from the truck. There are always people like me looking to parts to help members finish their projects. Here are photos of my project: http://www.flickr.com/photos/53116286@N07/6176206389/in/set-72157627613948205 Keith

  18. A stock hardtop version KL60 weighs 3663 lbs. As you can see from my postings, I am a purest and do not like to modify a classic vehicle. I do know that some people install a SBC powertrain. You will have to do a bit of research to ensure a 4WD transaxle can be accommodated. Just a side note, a vintage Datsun/Nissan is more valuable if it retains a linage to the Nissan family of powertrains. The Nissan SD33T, used in the IH Scout, may be a good compromise. Keith
  19. Looks good. What is the name of the powder coating company Keith
