I think he has them on a hardbody. If it were a 521 or 620 then yeah, just grind down the tabs. Maybe run a spacer? Cheaper than paying the $60 or whatever. I have some on the rear of my truck. Been like that for over a year with no probs.

Are you trying to get just the rubber out? Pull the whole wing window assembly out instead. Take the door panels off and you'll see bolts inside that hold the wing assembly to the door. Nah mean? -
