  1. Looks like the letters FREE were painted on the side once. They look to have been changed in order to make a buck.
  2. I saw one similar to that at the last Turlock swap meet. 3 dollars I think they wanted. I thought of our fellow member icehouse as well.
  3. Off the top of your head. Do you remember which color wires go connected to the reverse light switch(pl521)? I have the same problem. I didn't reconnect my wires after the 5 speed swap. My wires were too short.
  4. Clean truck you got there!
  5. I saw something like that on a 521 at the JY. It was connected to the puke tube that sits on top of the radiator. Looked stock......
  6. Weird shift pattern! Thought it was a dogleg at first........
  7. Sounds good . Will try tomorrow morning. Thanks everyone.
  8. How about the + side of the coil? The reason why I say this is because I switched to the matchbox dizzy and I removed the ballast .
  9. Does that go for the 521 as well? Thats what i'm installing it on.
  10. Alright! Will try. Now I need to find a 12v source.
  11. Well i checked my 320 today . Looks like it should work without any problems. The drive shaft has splines as does the dogleg. I forgot I had removed the drive shaft when I towed it home. It was sitting in the back of the bed.
  12. He wanted 3 bills for the engine and tranny. Its really clean . The PO told him it ran fine before he purchased it. He told me he took the pan down and found some water in the oil . He's now in the process of swaping a vg30 into his 320. I picked up the steering wheel , column , steering box and the rest of the steering stuff. I believe he's putting in a miata rack and pinion. Where is the identification stamp located on the block? Is it on the passenger side like the l16-l20's? I looked at mine but its pretty dirty/dusty.
  13. Yes , the linkage moves freely. The choke butterfly can be moved with slight pressure. Doesn't feel like its jammed or binding.
  14. My neighbor also has a truck like that. Slammed but with yellowish primer. I'll try and gets some pics posted up.
  15. I'm going to install an l16 and dogleg 5 speed into my 1964 320. I only need the motor mounts from a 521 to complete the swap. My question is will the stock 320 driveline mate up to the dogleg? I haven't checked under the 320 because it's sitting in my back yard on dirt near dog poop but I might just have to crawl under there. Hopefully someone here has done this swap before.
  16. I purchased a real clean seat for my 320 and the guy who sold it to me has an original engine/tranny for the 320 truck. He's doing a vg30 swap into his and is selling the engine and tranny. The problem is he says when he took the oil pan down it had water in the oil. Is this engine/tranny combo worth purchasing? What could cause water to get into the oil? Bad head gasket , cracked block , cracked head? I'm installing an l16 into my 320 but would like to go back to the original motor some day. Just to keep it bone stock.
  17. Ok , I just rebuilt a weber 32/36 for my bros 521. It has the electric choke like the carbs in the pictures above. My question is how do I properly set up the choke? The choke is stuck in the open position . I grounded the carb on the neg side of battery and put 12v to the tab on the round plastic choke thingamajiger. Nothing happened . Is the choke supposed to be opened or closed when 12v are present?
  18. Nice! Now lets see some pics with the grill and lights installed.....
  19. LOL It's the guy from the camel cigarrettes! Thats one rich camel though............
  20. Comedians..............
  21. Hard to find? I see them all the time here in Cali. Especially at the JY. I noticed Oregon and Washington has alot of Datsuns, on Craigslist anyway. Oh and nice score.......the 620 looks good. Looks like she's barely hanging on the flatbed. I need one of those , or a tow dolly................
