  1. I got no rubs at all. Even romping over large bumps and driveway curbs it NEVER rubs. I need harder springs though. We will see what happens. Thats a good looking goon though.
  2. R.I.P. Joe Cocker. You will be missed.

      lulz... 2 days, no fucks

  3. I finally got the Volks mounted with new Nittos. This car will never see replica wheels.
  4. I guess I will just never understand why people buy replica wheels. Because regardless of all the good reasoning otherwise, people still do not buy the real thing..... Assets vs Liabilities. SMH.
  5. In all frank honesty, its all the same crap. Car wheels, motorcycle wheels, ect ect. There have been thousands of sets of Rotas that have come apart, so there are definitely some serious inherent quality concerns. I guess I just feel my car deserves good wheels regardless of how much my car is worth. Its about looking at things as assets rather than liabilities. And you are looking at wheels as a Liability you have to spend money on, I look at them as an asset. I was going to sell you SSR Reverse Mesh for like $400-500 and you could have cleaned them up and sold them for probably $1400. Assets vs Liabilities.
  6. You know what man, your right, I am not going to rant about this because guys like you care about one thing Price. Not understanding how the wheel industry works, not that you can get the designer of your wheel on the phone or ask questions to him, not helping innovative companies pay the bills and continue innovating. Not that an American will go and be able to live his passion manufacturing beautiful wheels. Its price. It doesnt matter how much people explain something, even from the perspective of someone who makes wheels and feeds his kids that way. And it wouldnt matter if an American company were to make designs that you like, because they couldnt do it at Rotas price people like you will never buy them anyway. So please dont wonder why we wont appeal to that market, cause nobody would buy them unless they were $500 or less a set
  7. We do. But its motorcycle wheels ya know, people love chrome. There is a higher proffit margin in car wheels because they dont need assembly (unless 3 piece) and they dont need hubs bearings and specific hubset fitments. But still not the point.
  8. Thats all fine, but what is your defense on spending the same money you are currently spending on vintage, period correct Japanese wheels? Forged Wheel Blank $200+ Polishing $110+ chroming $150+ bearings, hubs $100+ assembly $50 shipping materials $10+ spacers/axle/speedo drive $50 Total $670+ it costs us to make the wheel. depending on size. And that doesnt count my comission, the programing and design for all the components, and doesnt consider possible broken tools or tool wear in the machines or electricity.
  9. We have a few guys here in Skylines who are running fake wheels. I sell American made motorcycle wheels at $825 each, all day long. And its hard to keep running as a small business in this country when you barely make a profit on $825 a wheel.
  10. Ill do you one better, for whatever it costs me, I will make you a new mount if you send me one. Easier to make 3 at once than just one. I already said the same to Jorgensen, and I am gonna PM him about it too.
  11. The M44 is also worth a few hundred more than a standard 91/30. Everyone I know hates these guns for no good reason. Maybe its because I always out shoot them with my Nagant, lolol. Cant argue with a tried and true design. With a little work, they are pretty accurate too.
  12. I have thought it over for a few days and I have decided that the diff will be getting a Torsen type limited slip before instalation in the car. Unlike many people I know who have chosen to weld their differentials, I have chosen to do things correctly.
  13. I have picked up a 280zx Turbo 3.54 R200, and the axles that go with it. The stock differential is an R180, and its also a 3.7, so going with smaller tires will throw my speedo off even more. The speedo is off already because I swapped from auto to manual and the manual has a 3.54. In order to install this all you have to do is modify the rear diff mount for the slightly longer diff cover. Info here: http://aussiebluebirds.com/index.php?topic=448.0
  14. I have two perfect ones but I am afraid to lose them so I use zip ties lol. Let me know the price, ill pick a few up.
  15. well then I guess their gonna fit. Lol, but if you are running a 15x8 +0 with 225, then my 15x7 +17 with a 205 will fit.
  16. Ugh, I hope everything goes together ok, if not I am sunk into a reallllly expensive experiment.
  17. Your running a 195?? Holy crap, im about attempt to run a 205.........Lets see exactly what level of fail I get to.
  18. I came to a perfect trade off and I virtually stole them. I paid $300 for these, and they were reupholstered with only a year of use on them before he stored them for ten years. They are Recaro LX-B, great seat, not heavy and you can drive in them for HOURS, Mine have the ortho headrests that tilt forward. The new version would be the Recaro Expert, they are not cheap though. one is like a set of Corbeaus.
