  1. Anyone know someone w/ one of these gems? I need a favor. I need someone to compare a 521 turn signal lense to the turn signal lense on the Skyline. Not that I'm going to be to obtain a pair, but they look like they'd fit the 521 and be pretty cool 'clear lense' option. Lets see: Airfair to Japan - $1,100 KPGC10 Lense - $1,000,000 + left pinky finger. Sick, JDM clear blinkers - PRICELESS!!!!!
  2. 6-lug Champs!!!?! Nice. Pics? Size? -Brian Oh, nevermind. Just saw the link in your sig. Those look a little more like SSR Interceptors (i have them too!) Nice 521.
  3. ^ Cool idea. I'm game. Can we sticky a thread in the 'events' section?
  4. Hmmmmm......are there any pics of that hydraulic sys you got plumbed under the dash? Details? By the sound of it, Canby is going to be bad ass. Can't wait to see the dime. -Brian
  5. I like these........ ;) Auction link.
  6. Message to the mods: Ban me if you like, but aren't you guys here to curb these kind of things? One mans gripe w/ another shouldn't be public commentary. This is the kind of thing that will tear this community apart. Don't get me wrong. Slo should've kept in better contact w/ his buyers. Buyer, you all need to be careful of your sellers. I've been screwed before (we all have) and it sucks. But rack it up to a learning experience. Perhaps we should have a 'seller voucher' section. That way people can look to see if members are reputable. Mods need to monitor entries to make sure anything posted is constructive and delete EVERYTING that is a personal attack. Steve: Was glad to see you today boss man. You are, and always have been, welcomed at the shop. -Brian

    Shhhhhh........ VK38DETT!!?!?!?!??!!?!?!!?!?!? Whhaaaaaaaaap. Sorry. ~Brian
  10. The dual master upgrade is pretty easy. I used mostly Z stuff. The trickiest thing about doing this on the 521 is that you're pretty much going to have to mix and match SAE w/ metric fittings. The 521 stock brake stuff is mostly SAE. If you already have a flaring tool, no prob.. ~Brian
  11. 1. Disc brakes. Get some. 2. Dual master cylinder. Plumb one. I drove mine maybe a half dozen times before downing for discs. Drums are just too antiquated. ~Brian
  12. Portland Auto Wreckers off of Columbia Blvd in NE Portland. That's pretty much the only place I go. They also get US custom's impounds. ;) ~Brian
  13. First off, nice freaken welds! Second, why inboard the rear leaf? ~Brian
  14. Where is everybody? Hello???!?!?!! Oh wait. Its 4:30 in the freaken morning. I need to get a new job! ~Brian Happy New Year!
  15. There are quite a few different ways. Creativity is key. For mine, I fabricated upper and lower control arms from scratch and bolted hardbody spindles to them. Works well and i've been riding on them for almos two years now. You could probably do the same w/ Toy spindles too. The rear is another story that I haven't delv'd into yet. ~Brian
  16. SR SR SR SR SR SR SR SR!!!!!!!!!!!! I think I jus pooped a little.
  17. Nice! Let me know if you want to unload them. :) I wonder what it would take to convince that publishing co. to produce these again? Yea right! ~Brian
  18. Haven't seen these in ages. I used to subscribe back in the late '80s. Don't know what happened to them all. All I could find were a half-dozen out of what was once 2-3yrs worth. Anybody got some they want to sell? ;) ~Brian
  19. Nice!!! No more automajics huh? ;P ~Brian
  20. Yeah. PJ is a CA guy....and it doesn't get too much more Filipino then Bonafacio! :) (j/k) He builds some sick shiet too. Die hard Yota guy. ~Brian
  21. Hahaha! You're lucky my wife doesn't come to the forums. I'd be banned from speaking to you! ..........but I did want to contact that guy for the Hayashi's. :)
  22. Well, the same reason that makes stretching popular in drifting makes it dangerous (IMHO) for daily driving. Stretching basically eliminates the sidewalls ability to flex. Sidewall flex aides in grip. With an IRS, the range of motion geometry adds to grip, but w/ a solid rear axel setup you don't have that geometry. Solid rear axel + stretched tires = easy breakaway. The first time that I took my wife out in the truck I was running some old 195/50's wrap around 15x8s. It was a little wet out. I took a freeway onramp at about 35mph and before I new it I was staring straight at the center divider wall. We fishtailed a few more times before I recovered, but I promptly got rid of those tires. An accident in the 521 would have been bad. Lap belts. No crumple zone. No air bags. Of course thought, the tires were old so they probably gave easier then new tires would. I'd still be cautious though. ~Brian
  23. 235/50/15. They're not stretched. I had a scary experience w/ running 195/50's on a 8" wide wheel. I'll think twice about running them on a daily driver especially here in Oregon.
  24. He's not on the forums then? I guess I'll have to take a walk down there one of these days. :)
  25. .....y all U gots to pick on us portlanders? Poo on you! Nah. I agree. Friggin drivers up here cannot even negotiate the first rains of the season let alone snow. My ass is from Hawaii. We go TO snow. Snow doesn't come to us. The moment I hear "icy," I stay my hawaiian ass home! ~Brian
