  1. Whoa. Got any pics w/ the new wheels on your ride? I got the same wheels, but mine are 15x8. :) ~Brian
  2. Anyone know this guy? I've seen him in my neighborhood, but have never met him. Looks like he has a 520 or 521 also. ~Brian
  3. I haven't heard any problems from anyone i know w/ disc conversions. There's a bunch of different configs and my Hardbody setup has never locked on me. I'm also using a 7/8" dual master w/ a Z proportioning valve. :) ~Brian
  4. Pretty cherry w/ the Cherry Blossoms!
  5. Sorry if I came across harsh dood. Didn't mean to. :) I see your point. Dish does play a factor. It all comes down to what steering wheel you decide you go with. Mine is pretty flat so its an inch further away then stock (i was curious and just meas'd it). Mine is also MUCH smaller then stock, but that's not everyones liking. With 15x8's wrapped in 235's, steering is fun. ~Brian
  6. Nope. The hub is inside the steering wheel. You have to cut everything away from it. This is why it sits further back then the stock wheel. ~Brian
  7. Your wheel progression went perfect. Those 18's are frikken sweet. Good profile. Good height. :thumbs up ~Brian
  8. ....in actuality, the wheel sits futher down then stock. Probably by about two inches. :) I haven't done any in-depth searching for hubs, but from what I have hunted, I haven't found any. Sure, the 510 spline fits, but the signal cancel doesn't work w/o modification. ~Brian
  9. Anyone else find it odd how people start to unload their Dat's and Toy's right after JCCS? Interesting. ~Brian
  10. If anyone has a wheel thats too rotten to use, here's an option: Cut everything away: Make (or have someone make) an adapter ring to bolt to the hub: And get yourself the wheel of your choice and bolt it up: Works perfect. Easy to take off and take w/ you if you're sketchy aboot leaving your ride anywhere. That's a 300mm wheel BTW. I haven't yet, nor do I really want, to make a horn button, but its also possible. :) ~Brian
  11. Hmmm. Care to elaborate why? ~Brian
  12. What about a rotary truck? My personal choices would be a '74 Rotary truck and a early 70's Hilux if I were going more for the classic collection.
  13. You talkin about the 5VZ? If you're curious, Nelson over at Altered Motives in Tualatin is elbows deep into a 5VZ V6 swap into a mid-70's Celica right now. You should check it out. Its going to have a couple of secret weapons too. ;) ~Brian
  14. 1uzfe.com. This guy is putting it into a '72 Corolla. If it fits (w/ massaging) into that, it'll fit into a 510. I say go for it. Rumor has it, this motor like boooooost! ~Brian
  15. mid-80's Chevy truck I think. Can't remember. Found them on eBay for pretty cheap, but the shipping killed me. They were heavy. That's kinda why I didn't run them. Cool look though. ~Brian
  16. I can appreciate that. Here's my 521 w/ 15x8 steels: This is what i'm rolling now: Sorry for the thread jacking. ~Brian
  17. 8.22sec 1/4mi!!!! Still a 4cyl.. Insane. And you can hear him feathering the throttle to get traction. Imagine what it'd do w/ full bite. ~Brian
  18. True...BUT...those numbers are for a 2.6l 4cyl.. C'mon now. I wish whoever posted that FD had included the run time, but judging that launch and the blur, it was definitely a sub-10sec 1/4mi.. ~Brian
  19. Yeah, sounds like a sport bike.
  20. ^^ word. Wide-ass gumballs. More reason's to watch Japan eBay! ;)
  21. Have you guys seen this? 700HP @ 9000RPM!!!! And for all the "but does it have torque" guy, ~450Ft/lbs @ 6500RPM. That's frikken animal right there. I want one! ~Brian
  22. These are friggin sweet too:
  23. Dood, that thing is looking awesome! Please tell me you're going to bring it to the JCCS next year. My wife and myself are planning out our trip for next year and I'd love to see this thing. Any profile shots w/ the wheels on? ;) ~Brian
