  2. Ive been running a Napa "Gold Premium" reman alt in my 510(s) since 2004. Same alt probably has over 160K on it and it still functions flawlessly. If it ever smokes out, i know of a neat rebuild shop in Auburn, CA =)
  3. Matt, I pull the caliper off and hang high using wire to bleed with a c-clamp holding the piston in. PITA, yes, but how often do you bleed, ya know? p=) vdub the stripe looks old enough to be a dealer installed deal. ANd i like it. Its something ya dont see on too many 510s. Also, my wiring isnt the "prettiest" but guess what, everything is fused, works properly, and has never given any trouble. Thanks for the thoughts though. Now, on to this endless retainer issue, while Banzai's reputation on here is nearly unquestionable, there are infinite ways, opinions, and methods to building engines. Banzai, Matt has enough engines under his belt, and the shop he worked for to definitely know what works and what doesnt. I have over 500 miles on this engine without so much as a sputter. As i said before though, everyone has a way that works for them. So lets NOT get into a text-brawl over lash pads... Come on, dont matter what method was used, it RUNS! ANd thats the goal for ALL datsuns! TO be DRIVEN!

  10. Moving back? Why would you do such a thing? Its such a ...depression town...=( UPDATE Just did some cleaning up on my rear disc setup, had a nagging dragging brake issue (lol) every now and then the brakes would hang on a bit and cause drag. I suspect it was a sticking e brake cable, cant find anything else wrong. So, i posted OICS for all to see my 87 maxima rear brakes, mounted upside down to use factory brake cables, and brackets from Aaron Suchy.

  15. My L19 is running pretty big jets, main is 160/160 on the primary, 190/220 on the secondary, then again, it seems like a 'perfect fit' for this cam, i never smoke, and never load up, even running my B6E plugs.
