Ok so I think I've found the head I'm going to use. Trading my 4.625 diff for a ported 219 head with Japanese racing valve springs. Need to source some steel intake valve guides. I know you are all picture whores so here you go.

There's always a demand for good mechanics. But you have to do something that makes you stand out.

Still would the oil in that cylinder come from the head? Btw if you need another cam I have several. Give me a call because Ill be working on the car tomorrow.

Gotta find an in with a shop. For example I worked at an awesome shop this summer. Owner races a Datsun 510. I went there to look at wheels. Turns out its a Ferrari, Porsche, Lambo, etc shop and the only one in our city. And I just offered my services. He took me on and that was one of the best summer jobs I've ever had. So don't be afraid to be bold at shops. If you have a common interest with the owner work that to your advantage.

You also might want to match the intake manifold to the gasket as well. Otherwise that really wont make much of a difference.

As long as I do better than my Land Cruisers 16-17 I'll be happy, but if I were to guess I'll say once I'm all done I will get 19-20

I'd say yours is a good 6-7mm thicker than the one I've been offered.

I didnt even think about the valve seats.

Trading my 4.625 LSD for this head and a straight intake manifold I can't seem to ID. So I guess price is shipping from Finland. I have no way to tell if it needs to be cut or not. And that's what worries me most. If there's a problem I'm fucked. I will have a useless head and he will have a working rare diff.

There's no point to get this head right guys? That was my initial thought, that it had been cut too many times. But I wanted to be sure so I posted it here.

I'm trying to get a thickness from the owner but the problem is that he is in Finland so we might email 1 or 2 emails a day max. Sucks.

Actually I've found a 219 head so I'm going to use that with z22e pistons.

Considering a whole garageful of parts are coming with me to Canby and it's almost a 1,800 mile trip one way I think it only makes sense for me to do it from the comfort of a car I know will get me through a zombie apocalypse.
