  1. So, since I am getting into the final stages of my engine prep and planning I was hoping to get some power estimates for my planned build since I won't be the first one ever building it. It is a standard l20 block bored out to 87mm. Standard crank. 6 inch rods. Z22E pistons. Ported 219 head. Racing cam with .535 lift. Dual 44mm Mikunis. Stahl header. Obviously no 2 engines are alike but a rough estimate would be greatly appreciated. CR should be right around 10:1
  2. There were people that dropped several grand on the London Olympics torch and in the description it says its only a hi res photo. People believe what they want to believe.
  3. I don't think people are realizing it is a replica. They just see a rare grill and bid on it.
  4. Wouldn't a higher diff ratio give less cruising ability. Higher ratio means better acceleration. But higher RPM on the highway.
  5. No only a 1600. I've never seen a 1800 valve cover. The finned 1600 ones are getting rarer now.
  6. Pretty much all L series parts are interchangeable.
  7. Its duration isn't that high.
  8. Duration is a secret. But it's going to be a fun street car. Not a dd
  9. To give you an Idea where you are my cam lift is.535 and that is a pretty aggressive cam. So you probably want to be under.5

    LSD ????

I have an almost brand new CLSD 3.9 R180 for myself. The ratio of the R160 was 4.625 (confirmed this weekend) and the ratio of the R190 was 5.13 so there was no way I was going to use them on the street. And the R180 I sold had a ratio of 3.54 so I had no use for that either. So I pretty much kept the only one I wanted.

    LSD ????

Thankfully I got all of mine with the car I bought and none of them had been run in about 35ish years so they are pretty fresh. Sold the r190 for a grand and a r180 for about 700 and trading the r160 for a ported and prepped 219 head. I hadn't noticed the part where you had figured out which diff it was in the thread already.

    LSD ????

If it is a LSD its definitely a VLSD. I've had 4 LSDs: 1 r160, 2 r180s, 1 r190 and they all were CLSDs and they all had that fully covered inner casing.

Never seen an lsd look like this. Looks like a regular diff.

New GS isn't a slouch either and it looks great. And I'd say that Japanese car probably have the longest life expectancy of any mass produced, affordable to most people car. Besides, most japanese cars are actually assembled in the US nowadays.

Are we talking only toyota or are we including its luxury brand Lexus as well. Because I can think of several Lexus models that are not boring.

Damn Jeremy has gotten old. So looking forward to season 21. My parents were on the same flight as he and James May from Kiev to London
  17. 145 days for me to completely assemble my car. That's possible right guys?
  18. I'll probably end up just calling Rebello or Troy. I would only need intake ones though? because the seller said nothing about needing steel seats for the exhaust.
  19. And they are hardened steel valve seats? how much did they cost if you dont mind me asking?
  20. The seller claims 12 years of building and racing experience plus his dad was in the comp department in the 60s and 70s. Claims that I need steel valve seats.
