  1. Anyone here know much about longboards? Looking to buy a beginner board to cruise around campus that can support ~230lbs.

Haha, thanks guys. I'm looking at a landyachtz evo or loaded fattail as I've found good deals on them. Just need to make sure the Evo can handle the weight.

you can always get a 2x8 cut it down and install trucks.is that not the cheap ass RAtsun way?

  2. Ah, I see now. Sadly not sure that pump will work on the new coupe, as debris scares me on the road :P It would still work great on the 4 door since the tank is in the trunk, but oh well. Thanks for the info though, still looks like a really nice setup.
  3. That looks really nice. I love the 520/521s, just never find one in the southeast that isn't hacked to hell :( Edit: on a side note be sure to measure your threads on the shifter so Dave can put in the right adapter. My 620 had some m12x1.25 crap and the knob I bought for it was m8x1.25 :( Luckily that fits the B210s :P
  4. Loren, no worries. Instead of paying me back just pay it forward. A lot of guys on here helped me out when things were rough. It's like family, but we actually like talking to each other (most of the time)
  5. Haha, alrighty, I'll do the same. Make sure it's sent as a gift so Dave doesn't get knocked on the fee. Hopefully they are both ok with this :P
  6. If Loren and Dave are cool with it I'll pitch in $20 for Loren on the last knob as well.
  7. Just wondering, cause I have forgotten since it was originally posted, the raffle will be held at Canby on the last day right? Just trying to plan the trip appropriately and not sure I can make it on the first day. Edit: Not that I ever win shit, but seeing all of the work that is going into the build would be amazing
  8. Thanks so much Dave. Glad to help with such an awesome project.
  9. They are still awesome :P These were the only other ones I've seen so far: http://community.ratsun.net/topic/20840-ratsun-shifter-knob-see-first-page-for-ordering-info/ Bought a clear/blue one but no idea what size threads. That's the only thing holding me back now :(
  10. Anyone happen to know the thread size for a stock B210 4-speed trans? I'd kill for one of those amber ones on my new project...
  11. My oldest possesion besides my Datsuns is my 1982 Minolta X-700, which is my favorite camera. Its a manual focus SLR that uses 35mm film. I got a decent deal on the full set of artistic filters and two lenses, as well as the camera, for a wopping $60 about eight years ago. Since then I've gotten rid of all of my newer cameras and only have the Minolta. I dust it off about twice a year and make sure the detachable flash works and all the contacts are clean. Sadly I don't dabble in photography anymore, but I'll never get rid of my Minolta, even though 35mm is basicly extinct :P
  12. Ok, so the clutch is stuck to the flywheel due to my "new" b210 sitting for 12 years. I've found a new clutch kit that is reasonable, but can't find a new flywheel except for racing ones. Any leads?

I'll have to see how bad it is. I have another one in the A15, but had hoped to find a source for a new one.

Just take the flywheel to "auto" machine shop,, probably can resurface for about $25.

I had the same thing on my dime. It's not a big deal. Just have it resurfaced.

  13. Wiat, you got the blue sedan? That guy was crazy on his price. Hope you got a better deal then he had it posted for.
  14. Thanks. That will be really nice for cleaning up the engine bay
  15. I probably missed this, but what fuel pump are you going to be using? Trying to find a decent pump to pair with the R1 carbs.
  16. It's in my county. They still think we are in a drought... Even if the river is overflowing and it's raining every day, we can only use outside water on even or odd days depending on our address. Some conservationist movement by the water board that actually passed, and since I live next to a few people that work for the water company, and they hate my datsuns... Yea, it's not a good combo.
  17. How realistic would it be to plan on driving a stock B210 to Canby? 5500 mile trip...

would you have needed the extra water if you had not taken the "extra" oil??

  18. Awesome info, thanks Dfreak! So, just waiting on payday to grab some tires, hoses, and fluids. Looks like I'll have another gas tank to clean out, but at least it won't have that "treatment" junk in it. Worst invention ever! I figured out that our water restrictions have been lightened. Still can't run water outside, but I don't have a spigot anyway. However, I can bucket wash it on even days since I have an even address :fu: Now to wait till Monday for the temp to be above freezing and work to be over.
  19. I think you jinxed me. It was 37F inside of my house this morning... 17F outside.
  20. Oh my, that is amazing. I really want one of those grilles. I have one, but the headlight surrounds are all busted to shit. These 4 doors almost make me want to set mine up again.
  21. Thanks for the info ericsb210. I'm thinking the built A15 should be enough power to keep my happy with it. The goal for this one is just to have a fun car to drive around on my days off and to drive to shows. Don't want to compete, but it's always better bringing your project to a car show than some 2000+ piece of crap. I'm sure eventually I may want more power, but as I get older that need goes down.
  22. Yea, that is my argument on the subject :P Plus I don't want to cut the trans tunnel, mess up the stock wiring, and have to swap in a different crossmember/lcas, brakes, rear end, ect. on such a nice car. However, there is part of me that says I have about $2500 in aftermarket parts for the green B210, so why not use them... Then I'd have R1s, headers, desmog it, new cam, megasquirt to replace the distributor with a crank sensor and TPS advance to work with the R1s (no vacuum needed). Not to mention I can rebuild the green ones A15 and H89 head to have as a spare. Sad part is that turns the 4 door into a parts car, but after being so disappointed about the amount of rust, I kinda gave up on it anyway. The interior is shot, the wiring is shot, the engine has never ran in the car... It was a lot to overcome, where this one is still the stock example, smog and all :P Just wondering, why the 1200 carb? I'm thinking the only real modifications I'll end up wanting after it's on the road will be to lower it. Then just build the A15 and all the goodies as a backup. After all, it's always nicer to drive your Datsun that to look at it in the driveway.
  23. Bam! The coupe is all legal and all mine  Got to the county clerk and payed the new "TVAT" tax, where you pay all of the taxes for the life of the vehicle based on it's current KBB value. Tax total? $3.13  So, I renewed registration on the xb, got the B registered for last year since my bday is in March, and payed to renew it through next year. Fun stuff, but now it's all done. Grand total? $63.13. Not too bad and no headaches at the dmv/county clerk till 2016 B) I have a few friends that are trying to talk me into doing a swap (KA or CA). I'm thinking I'll get it running as is, then re-evaluate how I feel about it. Just wish they would lift this water ban so that I could wash it. Hell, I'd even take a decent rain.
  24. The PO gave me a nice bag full of documents from his mother-in-law that will be perfect for holding the receipts. Eventually I want to get a little portfolio for it, but hopefully it won't take too many receipts to get it back on the road :P
