With the low roof line, I would be careful with much bigger wheels making it look cartoony. But thats just my opinion! I would think you could find some wheels that arent too plain, yet not overdoing it. But who knows, it may be screaming for them biggies when its all Bright orange on the bottom and Shiny yellow on the top? ;)

They are Weber 34 ICT carbs off a sand rail! Home made aluminum stacks and all. Buddy gave me the carbs and the alum was $10, the exhaust shop bent em for free(After I promised to bring it in and show em)

NICE! Loving the chop, gives it a much sleeker look. Would never think to chop it, that cars done well!

Change the oil? I add "Engine Restore" on my cars that smoke. Have you done any tune up ie. cap/rotor? Did you check the plugs and wires? These are all good things to do when reviving a car. Especially the oil change! The engines are fairly indestructible, but I have had problems with the old factory mechanical fuel pumps. I always change to electric fuel pump! And nice car mang! It reminds me of mine when I first got it! :)
