  3. Do what you can with what you can afford. another 510 saved from the jungle. where do you live in Costa Rica?
  4. have you looked into other filters like K and N or ITG or Pipercross. There was a local guy on craigslist every so often who makes billet adapters for Mikuni's to fit little filter pods. keep an eye out for that ad. JDM stuff or stuff made in Japan is nice but can be expensive. It seems to be the culture. They know their stuff is that good and they don't need to justify it they just set the price and if you want it you want it and if not oh well. Believe me there is so much cool stuff japan I would like to have but it is way pricey.
  5. I looked on his site and if you are able to see it seems like he makes two styles on his site. one that has round filters and another with sort of oval filters. his price states about 400.00 us dollars for the kit plus shipping and my percentage for handling the transaction. if you want me to get a total number and confirm the style let me know. thanks
  6. Just to be sure sssr20det510 you mean the lights that fill up the whole back of the rear of the car? You mean the lights in the sale section on the site in the red tab? I will have my friend call to get a total with shipping and get back to you. I used a translation site and it seems they have the left side only light for sale and he is charging 70000 yen which is about 700.00 us dollars. I will email my friend to ask still as he may have some other stuff that may be more affordable here is my email for easier contacting bull_ogna@hotmail.com
  7. just throwing this out there to see if anyone has a or any blown KA motors. looking mainly for a sohc head or dohc cam head to mock up for a Z24 block to KA head build. thanks in advance Benzo

It will cost as shipping can cost depending on what you want and size. I was just there a month ago and brought back some items. If you want something let me know. The owner does not use email and his english is very broken. I wire money and then he ships to me.

I had a 42 vizio plasma that lasted me only 3 years and then blew out. got lucky and was able to still return to costco and get my money back. (1600.00). I went out to best buy and costco again then video only and compared prices. I said no more plasma and no more vizio. I was about to buy LG but then I saw the new Sony Bravia and said to myself sony no bologna so i bought a 46" bravia. I am so far cool with it. hope it lasts long. I can tell it runs cooler than the plasma and it does sync with my sony stereo system. TV is a lot lighter since it is a LCD. Since I saw you are in Fremont go check best buy or Video Only I think in Hayward.

  12. can't wait to see more. so far so good
  13. I say for now don't do any engine mods just work on suspension or go slicks or drag radials and try to shave those 60 foot times. once you get that down and get good seat time start working on increasing power or more top end to get those high traps and lower times. good luck
  14. wish I was close. I would take off your hands. good deal
  15. edit price on wheels. 140 obo. window channel felt 60.00 prefer local pickup on wheels. buyer pays shipping of felt. paypal accepted. thank you
  16. Nice Wagon. Hope you got it for a good price. seems like you are on the right track so far with some of your mods and maintenance. I can tell you upgrading the suspension or changing bushings will help a lot. even if you go with a L20 it would be a big help.
  17. yeah that is why I was going to use a Z24 block as I have one already and just need a top end portion. This would help with not making a crossmember and also I can use the L series distributor.
  18. I am glad a lot of people are getting into wagons. To Pacific Coast Datsun I just got back from Japan and got a copy of Vintage Auto the one with Rich Roberts Bluebird and there is a segmennt on US cars and shows and your wagon was in one of the pics. I will take a pic later and post up.
  19. Yeah I hear you on that. sometimes keeping it simple works out better. I ran into issues in the past iwith ignition amps and the trade off with issues was not worth the headaches. I do agree either going matchbox or pertronix does blow away the points and is more reliable. if anything I will invest in a jet kit for my carbs to fine tune those
  20. yeah I contacted OS Giken and they said they will never make those heads again. Like I said if I put together a z24 block and KA head I will let all know the results
  21. thanks all for the info. I assumed right. my dist has a fixed plated and it does drive good on the street and highway. I sometimes am curious about adding a MSD box but I have had the experience in past of hit or miss with ignition amplifiers
  22. I personally am using a pertronix but never ran a matchbox. I hear the difference performance wise is not much different but my question is currently I am not using the vaccum hose port on the dist as my intake man does not have a provision for it and it is just capped off and it drives ok but if someone is to use a matchbox do they need to run the vaccum hose to get the vaccum advance to work. The only thing I can think of is it would maybe drive better since there is vaccum advance. If anyone can enlighten me it would be appreciated as I always wondered if I can run the matchbox in case my pertronix dist ever dies. thanks in advance Benzo
