So September has not been a good month for me. First my bike blew up. Then I lost my job. And my phone. Put the last of my money into insurance, tag, and gas. 0$ to my name. Just spent every last penny on my truck so I can have some transportation which leads to job, phone, money. And then this.... I followed directions. I swear I was doing it right. My cam towers were all even and flush. then BAM Cam explodes I fucked up somewhere and I guess there was a .5 mm difference in tower height I wasn't even mad. I looked at it for a second then immediately ran outside to throw up. I literally puked up my frustration. Dear Ratsun. I need a Cam for an L20B. I swear on my life that I will repay you as soon as financially possible. Please message me if you can send me a cam. I have till the 11th to make 125$ or I will have to cancel my insurance and return my tag. My only hopes of getting back on my feet are to get this truck on the road and get back to FL where I have friends and family. God Bless You.

That l16 in Augusta is a good buy! Surely someone has a flywheel for it. Maybe the A14 flywheel will work. I have no idea.

My pops said that when I get it done and drive it about 50 miles to take the valve cover off and make sure they're all at 60. I'm leaning towards Copper Coating Mainly because of the condition of the block surface. About to go to the shop and go at it with a wire wheel and shop vac.

I have to rebuild it in the future. Hand tight then 35-45-60lb? Permatex is what I got. There the only ones still maing it that I could find. Have you removed a head that was coppercoated?

But way bigger than reg cab 620. I almsot cut out the back of my reg cab. Good thing I traded it. Mike go see my copper coat thread and give me your opinion. Because your opinion matters.

You won't be comfortable. I had to get rid of my regular cab specifically because I'm too tall. I got a king cab now :thumbup: I was 6'2" or so then and it was very uncomfortable plus with stock steering wheel it was near impossible to use the clutch without hitting the wheel with my knee. 6'4" with the seat back in a king cab is ultra comfy.

Just got my head back from the shop. Some people are saying to coppercoat both sides before installing. Some are saying it needs to be absolutely dry. The shop said only use coppercoat on metal headgaskets. I want some more opinions. It's a Victor Reinz felt/metal gasket. The block doesn't have the greatest surface.

What carb?? MY Hitachi has an Anti-Dieseling Solenoid. When I got my truck it wouldn't turn off. I found that the wire was broken right at the solenoid. Soldered it back and haven't had a problem since.
