  1. The girlfriends car is in the fritz. About a month ago, we had the O2 sensor replaced after she took it in to Les Schwab of whatever... I told her our place could do it, but she was worried about the 40min freeway drive to my work. Long story short she was raped on price. Well, yesterday her check engine light came back on and it seems to be acting the same exact way it was before the O2 sensor change. Now, they warranty their work which is awesome, but if we take it to have them check things out and its not the O2 sensor, then not only can we not afford the repair, but now were out the $90 they charge to use an ODB I/II scan tool on the car. I was hoping that someone local to the Kitsap area might have one to check her car out. Now if youve read my latest couple of build thread posts, then you know I really dont have any money. What all that means is that I cant pay for the use of the tool... Now, what I can do is either owe you in the future ro we can figure something out in trade. My girlfriend really needs to get to work and we wont be able to afford the catastrophic failure this might bring on. Can anyone help?
  2. Thanks a lot guys... Im trying hard over here to come up with something quickly. Im even applying for the more "girly jobs" (though those of you know know me well in person, may know thats not a a big stretch). Selling the car is a the absolute last resort, and I wouldnt give it up if I didnt have to. Im trying to keep it because I like it so much haha I want you to know I really appreciate all that JRock. As much as I would love to work in the powder business helping you out (which helps me out?), just the commute to Tacoma is driving me crazy so I dont think I can make it to Olympia. Id gladly come down there with a gas stipend, but if you cant handle the wife driving 4mi then I dont think you would like my 1.5hr commute down to your place. I cant thank you enough for the KA offer, but I wouldnt even have the money to buy that, or the extra parts needed to put that it. Well, todays another day of applying for better jobs so we shall see how that goes. Its shitty that its a holiday so most places are closed and wont be opening emails or have their doors open to apply in person. I guess my best bet today will be Craigslist jobs. And to stop this from being all woe is me... I did save my girlfriend the other night with the Datsun. She had a dead battery at the ferry terminal so I drove out to her and jumped her car. Datsun to the rescue!
  3. Camera has already been sold, but I'm scrounging around for everything around the house that I don't need any more.
  4. Well, it looks like I am poorer than I first thought. My job situation is in shambles and Im losing money like crazy trying to stay afloat here. Im not sure where all my money went, but Im sure it was from commuting so much. As of right now, I will not be going to Canby... I do not have the money to spend on two nights of camping, and then gas it takes to get there and back. Im looking for a better job in the Kitsap area so that I do not really have to commute anymore. Im almost at the point where I need to sell parts off the car or the whole car itself so that I survive and dont end up on the street. Id like to make a joke about this, but Im really close to losing it all.
  5. Looking for cash... Bonvo PM me your best price if you want.
  6. Well at least youre getting something going. I decided to call a mulligan on working on the car today... Ill start tomorrow.
  7. No worries on helping you out... thats what Ratsuners are for.
  8. Its about time you created a fucking build thread Goon. Dont forget to tell everyone about the hour and a half junkyard trip that lasted five hours... which was ended with two minutes worth of sawzall.
  9. Thanks Q! All reasonable offers considered. Please shoot me a PM.
  10. Thank you. Still needs a little work, but Im happy... so thats what matters. Now only to get the rear end sorted out to rock the full GLs.
  11. Any engine bay?- or our own? This could turn out good...
  12. White pearl all the way...
  13. Nice car, but it amazes me how many people dont crop to true CineScope ratio when doing photos like that.
  14. Nothing is wrong with minitrucks... I was just making a statement about wheel wells.
  15. Get off Ratsun and get some fucking work done Jen. Tell Brody to stop crying about his rear disks and just make it work... Canby is two weeks away. No more Interwebz for you.
  16. Looks like with my 185, I would be able to dump the rear about 1/2 of what I would need to in order to get as low as you (with a fender pull). With a 175 I would say I would be about 3/4 as low as you (with the pull)... And just as low with a slotted crossmember or Byron's brackets.
  17. Probably would look better. I have 15x8s in the rear and I think (possibly) that I could dump the rear without any issues... I am rolled and could use a pull if I did that, but I think I can manage. Ill check clearances on my way home (Im about to leave work now) and let you know what I come up with.
  18. Weve had 20 days of patience.
  19. I think you need more rim and dish than what you currently have... too much tire. You dont have to go to a crazy stretch or anything, but I think it would help out some. That flat face rim just doesnt do it for me. You look at a bunch of mini trucks and they look similar to yours: even though they run 20 or 22 inch rims, their wheel wells are giant (especially in the rear) so it doesnt look like its completely full. 510 wells are pretty small, so it should be easy to fill it up with rim.
  20. Wow that was much better than the OP.
  21. Woah... dont group me into that group; I never said to buy that rear end. I just stated the fact that he is quite north of you, so if you did buy it as the others suggested, it would be a long journey to get it :fu:
  22. Mexi-flush (or Mexi-poke) is with the wheels/tires sticking out of the fenders... yours are pretty sunk in and not flush at all.
