  1. Youre posting on Ratsun saying Ratsun is down? Seems legit.
  2. PnP has prices listed on their website.
  3. Personally, I would rock something cheap and simple that you can pick up until you can save for the desired set. Grab some mini-lites, 280zx 6-spokes, etc, for a couple hundred and rock those. They are cheap, come in sizes that fit 510s perfect, and are respectable rims. You say that youre going to keep the car mostly stock except for a nice set of rims. If thats your only mod, would you want a set of wheels you can be proud of?- something you really like? You already mention that you might hate yourself for purchasing XXRs... then why do it? My .02
  4. I even have the parts needed to fix this.
  5. Dang... totally want this. Do you have any other Datsuns that might need parts I could trade for?
  6. I was mostly just teasing John... he and I are usually on the same page for rims and such. But to answer your question, Im not a 16in guy. I prefer the look and fit of 14/15in wheels. I also like really low cars, but its not a requirement (which is why I like the smaller diameter wheels). Also, what are you trying to run for wheels if you say youre too cheap for Rotas? Rotas make the cheapest knockoffs around.
  7. Yeah, I was going to say that $2500 was more around what I would be willing to pay.
  8. That things in pretty nice shape... $3500 doesnt seem like a terrible price. Im sure you could talk him down some. You shouldnt have tried to get it started; should have noticed the plug wire order was off and say you didnt know what it was. Buy it for cheaper and then fix the plugs at home. Now he can back his higher price with the idea that its a running car (minus the flats).
  9. Monster truck status
  10. You can check for air leaks yourself. You can do a couple different things. With the car running: 1. Fill up a spray bottle with some very soapy water and spray it around the base of the carb... anywhere theres a seal and such. If you see the spray making bubbles, then you know air is leaking from that area. 2. If you have a mini blow torch, turn the propane on, but do not ignite it, then run the torch tip in all the mating surfaces and such. If your engine bogs down and wants to stall, then you have a leak in that location.
  11. The carb is known bad-ish as it doesnt like to run right... I just havent the time to tear it apart and rebuild it. I think things just finally caught up with it since it was freezing weather here and it had been sitting for a few weeks. This is one reason Ive been wanted to switch to the ZX9r carbs, but have to finish up the manifold I have first.
  12. Well it did... I went to look at it, and it was completely full of gas. I drained it out, and a couple cranks and it started right up.
  13. Repetitive starting attempts without the engine running to use the fuel that was added. I don't know how you've never heard of it...
  14. I was having this problem in my Dime the last couple days. I had the car sitting for a couple weeks and then with the temperature I couldn't start it. I think my big issue was a flooded carb and with the temp, none of the gas was evaporating so it just stayed flooded. I had to unscrew the deadeye on the carb drain out the gas. I also had a freshly recharged battery since I drained it trying to turn it over so many times. This really doesn't help you since you're injected, but I feel your pain. I hope you can power through it.
  15. And left early... We still love you buddy :) I haven't been to as many as I should have either.
  16. Haha bad Tim! Just cut your loses... You're a Colt guy now anyway.
