Hello, anybody out there got a 521 gearbox or tail-shaft housing on the cheap? I pretty sure its the F4W63 4 speed I couldn't find any real numbers on the case.

The last picture is the damage to the trans, the rear seal cup completely shattered inside the driveshaft shroud. Been that way since I bought it, slings gear oil like a crack dealer.

I cannot find this gearbox or shaft housing anywhere, modifying mounts for a Z car trans isn't what I want to mess with right now. Any help would be awesome, I am located in San Diego.

Only a J series 4 speed will work for this if swapping it complete. Best bet is to swap the rear case. The '70-'72 PL521, '68 -72 510 (wagon or sedan) will fit. Other F4W63 transmissions that should work for this part are the '73-'77 710 and the '78-'80 A10 HL510. The 610 is too long

I might have what you need.....

Bought an unknown condition 63 series 4 spd transmission for the internal parts just incase mine needed something I couldn't find... well I recently upgraded to a 71b stumpy 5 spd from a 720 and I'm holding my good 4spd as a backup but I might be willing to sell the tailhousing off the parts transmission.... 

 

Would you be interested in just the tailhousing?

What's your time frame like?

Dude that would be awesome, just the tail housing would be perfect. The rest of my trans is good just that one piece is the only thing holding me up. Let me know what you want for it plus shipping of course. My timeline isnt really a factor because trying to find one around here would probably take longer. Message me and I'll relay my info, thanks again this could really save my bacon.
