hessianben
Does anyone know if the hoods of the Dimes and the 521's are the same size? I wish I knew someone with a 510 close by, so I could measure! I found a c-list hood that I'd like to check out from a 510, that I'd like to put on the truck. I really like how the Dime's hood dips in the middle! (I have a sneaking suspicion, though, that the 510's are a bit wider...) Any info would be appreciated! thanks (note: this is not the hood for sale! just an example, and a cool 'goon! ...except for the 'turbo-tunnel' on the surfboard ! haha JK.) datzenmike
The 521s are narrow with wide fenders, assuming the 510 and 521 headlights are close to the same distance appart. http://i138.photobucket.com/albums/q251/datzenmike/00280022.jpg[/img]"] Edited February 6, 2009 by datzenmike Quote Link to comment
hessianben
That's what I was afraid of... ...hoping it was an optical illusion! haha. Thanks Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
I don't know for sure but it has been discussed by 510ers. If it did work someone would have said so by now. Funny about that little droop over the grill... it totally makes the front end look better I agree. Quote Link to comment
MikeRL411
If you can find one to measure I will bet that a 410 or 411 sedan hood will fit your 521. The fenders of a 521 do fit the 411 sedan except for the extra slot for the parking lamp which has a different location on the 521 and must be patched to fit a 411, so the hood is a likely fit. However, no dip in the middle which is probably what you are after. Quote Link to comment
Jester
How about swapping in the whole frontend? EDIT: Nope. the spot on the inner fender where the two meet is in a differant place. Damn. Edited February 7, 2009 by Jester Quote Link to comment

Do you really want to do that? 521 has that dip your refering to except that it's narrower than the 510. 521 hood squares off towards the front while 510 slopes down.
