Transmission Snags

Hello All, I’m replacing the clutch on my dearest Debbie (1979 Datsun 620, 5 speed), but am having some issue with dropping the transmission. I’ve followed the manual to a T and have got everything removed, transmission separated from the engine, and cleared the bell housing, but on the output side of the transmission there are a pair of fins that stick out from the sides of the case and these fins have wedged themselves behind the adjustment bolts for the torsion bars. I can’t move the transmission rearwards because the shifter portion is sticking as up and as far back into the cab slot as possible. And I can’t lift the transmission up anymore because the case is under the pressure plate. I am at a loss at the moment on how to proceed, any help would be appreciated.
