If I put a V6 in my truck I'd like it to at least haul a full size. Please don't take this at ignorance, I just want enough power to haul anything may ever need. Quote Link to comment

You just buy the harness from someone who makes one. Seriously though, if you have an entire harness, and can sit down to figure out what does what, building your own standalone harness can be done in a few days. Nail it to a sheet of plywood or drape it over the motor. Either way, it's not as hard as it sounds. Would I repair half a rusty motor? Maybe. Sounds like it's missing a bunch of parts. Sourcing those parts may prove to be the hard part. Got everything except the head... Vacuum lines probably need to be replaced. My only issue with wiring is sticking shit together, need a tool for that. 1 Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
Z24, KA or VG will all haul the 720. 1 Quote Link to comment

Didn't even know there was KA with DOHC, I really don't need DOHC though. Does z24 have a DOHC cam version? I heard of the z24i but I don't really care all to much for injection Quote Link to comment
Stoffregen Motorsports
The first KA, the KA24E was single cam, super simple, and tons of aftermarket support. 1 Quote Link to comment
DaralSucksAtNissans
Found someone to bore my engine out. Is 45 Dollar a cylinder a lot? I would assume not but just making sure. 2 Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
That's good. Have the pistons supplied so he can bore accurately to fit them. No piston is exactly as advertised. Also the cylinder finish depends on the type of ring you plan to use. 1 1 Quote Link to comment

Place I'm going to get it bored at is a little backed up right now so hopefully I'll have time to figure that out lol 1 Quote Link to comment
DaralSucksAtNissans
Does this need to be closed out or anything? It's really not a help to anyone but me. Quote Link to comment
